The Pierce County Opioid Task Force, a group of local and state stakeholders, has been
meeting during 2018 to create a draft action agenda that will help us fight the opioid epidemic in Pierce County
We would like to share and get your input:
Friday, February 22, 2019 8:30 am – 3:00 pm
Registration begins at 8:30 am Event will start promptly at 9:00 am

Lunch, water and coffee will be provided.
This event will be hosted by Derek Young, Pierce County Council, District No 7 and
Conor McCarthy, Tacoma City Council, At-large Position No 7, the agenda will include:
o A snapshot of the opioid problem in Pierce County
o Review of the draft action agenda
o Small group discussion of proposed actions, gaps and resource requirements
Importantly, William C Moyers, Vice President of Public Affairs and Community Relations, Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation, will be speaking about overcoming addiction This is also an opportunity for you and your organization to offer perspective and insight on how we can
continue to attack this health crisis in Pierce County and make lasting and effective change

Take EXIT 127 from Interstate 5 and go EAST on Highway 512
Continue on Highway 512 for approximately 2 miles to Hwy-7 Pacific Avenue, turn right
Continue on Pacific Ave for approximately 1 mile to 121st, turn right
Go through 1 light, go through 4-way stop The Hauge Administration Building will be on the left and Chris Knutsen Hall is located inside
