“I gained so much from my experience as a SOS Orientation Leader I have gained confidence in my public speaking abilities and acquired in-depth knowledge about the
University that's been personally gratifying as a student and also very helpful Also, the
gratification of knowingly making a positive impact on a hesitant and nervous student is unmatchable But more than anything else the camaraderie and friendships have been what I've appreciated most from my time in SOS.” -Joey

require you to miss class The First Year Experience Office will
provide session participation and employment verification so you

possible since you will need to miss 3 Fridays throughout the

“Honestly, my favorite memories are from the training sessions! You may think a three hour session every Thursday sounds boring, but being able to spend time getting to know Auburn and the other Orientation Leaders was the best part for me You sit next to a new group of people each week which allows you a chance to get to know each of your co-workers! There is a time for work and a time for play but SOS made work seem like play for me.”
