Check the condition of the wheels If they are dirty or dull, they must be scraped or replaced
DURING WORK
If necessary, first routine the workpiece with the grinding wheel and then regrind with the fine-grained wheel
WORKPIECE SUPPORT
For certain grinding operations, the workpiece support plate may be tilted Use the washers to level the difference
in altitude
Note that tilting may reduce the load absorption of the workpiece support plate
The distance between the grinding wheel and the work-piece support plate should be as small as possible
Avoid overheating of the bench electric grinder
Apply light pressure to the workpiece If a wheel has be-come very dirty, the surface should be scraped with a manual leveler
Respect the environment when disposing of the grinding wheels
MAINTENANCE
In this chapter you will find important information about: Inspection, Maintenance and Repairs of the bench electro-grinder
WARNING!
Duly performed regular maintenance is an essential prerequisite for the long service life of the machine and the quality of the products it manufactures

PREPARATION
WARNING!
Only carry out maintenance work on the bench electro sharpening unit if it has been disconnected from the mains Place a warning sign
RESUME
Carry out a safety check before resuming work
WARNING!
Before connecting the electric bench grinder, you must check that:
• There is no danger to personnel
• The bench electric grinder is not damaged
INSPECTION AND MAINTENANCE
The type and degree of wear depend to a large extent on the individ-ual operating and operating conditions
If the machine is used in accordance with the instructions, it will be largely maintenance-free
REPLACING CERAMIC GRINDING WHEELS
The wheel must be replaced whenever the distance between the outer diameter of the wheel and the edge of the grinding wheel cover is more than 6 mm
WARNING!
Before assembly, check the ceramic wheels for damage or cracks
If this type of defect is observed on a new wheel, it should not be installed under any circumstances
You can check the wheel for minor defects by removing it and tap-ping it gently A serious sound can be heard on damaged wheels
• Make sure that the machine cannot be switched on without authorisation
• Loosen the three fixing screws on the protective cover
• Loosen the shaft nut and remove the safety plate
• Remove the wheel from the drive shaft
• Make sure that the counterplatform is correctly positioned on the shaft
• Place the new wheel on the shaft and fix it with the safety plate and the shaft nut
WARNING!
Only tighten the nut manually
• Mount the protective cover and readjust it
• Check the setting and position of the transparent spark arrestor and the tool holder
