Members of advisory boards, Boards of Directors,
management and leaders of community based
organizations/nonprofits wishing to acquire 501(c)
(3) tax-exempt status from the IRS
The workshop will cover the
following items:
This is a 3-hour, interactive, hands-on workshop
designed to walk participants through the
tax-exempt status application process, IRS Form
1023 Participants will:
• Receive tips for completing IRS Form 1023.
• Learn background information on
501(c) (3) procedures, and
• Examine the “right” questions to ask to help
streamline interaction with the IRS
