The main objective is to increase current awareness and provide patent monitoring of patents of technical interest to the IAMS community in an easy to use format and to update the patent dashboard created for IAMS.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

Searches were conducted using appropriate synonyms and codes primarily in patent databases on STN for patents claiming or disclosing pet food compositions and process

of preparation of pet food The date range for update 1 is from June 2007 to November

2007 Search results from different patent databases on STN were combined in Derwent World Patent Index and analyzed based on taxonomy used in the original dashboard as shown Titles of patents obtained in the current update are also provided in Appendix in table 1.

Figure 1 shows the snapshot of the wiki page hosting the data Figure 2 shows the

taxonomy created for IAMS and Figure 3 and 4 show snapshot of the dashboards in the Dolcera and the Aureka version Figure 5 and 6 provide additional statistics.
