I OBJECTIVES:

By the end of the lesson, students will be able to:

1 Knowledge:

- Know some words, phrases related to traffic topic

- Know the usage of “How” to ask about means of transport

*Vocab: means of transport : motorbike, plane, …

* Grammar: “How” to ask about means of transport.

2 Competences:

- Listening and reading to get information about the distance

- Communication, self-learning capability, creative capacity, ability to use of language……

3 Qualities:

- have positive attitude in English language learning so that they actively

participate in all classroom activities

- love the country and means of transport

III PROCEDURES:

1.Warm-up (5’)

* Aim: - activate students’ knowledge on the topic of the unit.

- set the context for the listening and reading part

* Content: Game: chatting (about means of transport)

* Products: Ss answer the Qs

T introduces the topic “ Traffic”

Ask: How/ By what means do you go to

school every day?

On foot? By bicycle? By bus? On your

parents’ motorbike…

2 Presentation (5’)

* Aim: Enrich students’ vocabulary to talk about means of transport

* Content: Vocabulary about means of transport

* Products: Read and understand the meaning of words

* Aims:

- revise / introduce the names of transport, and some words related to public transport activities

- Do the tasks

- write the word from the conversation to complete each sentence

- Look at the pictures and write a word under each

- play a game

* Products:

Students read vocabularies exactly aloud

Students pronounce /ɑː/ and /ʌ / exactly
