La presente Norma stabilisce una corrispondenza
ap-prossimativa tra i materiali (riferiti anche a Norme
supe-rate e/o annullate); essa permette di stabilire delle
corri-spondenze di similitudine e non di identità tra le analisi
base dei prodotti.
In taluni casi possono essere prese in considerazione le
caratteristiche meccaniche finali anche con variazioni
sulle analisi chimiche.
La Norma riferita al materiale può essere una delle
Nor-me dove lo stesso é impiegato, in quanto, lo stesso
ma-teriale può essere impiegato in più Norme in funzione
del suo utilizzo (esempio: fucinati, laminati, ecc.).
NOTA: I due asterischi (**) posti centralmente nelle
tabel-le dividono la Norma (quando prevista) dal
mate-riale e viceversa.

1 - PURPOSE This standard establishes an approximate relationship among materials (refered also to outdate
or deleded STDs), making it possible to find materials which are similar but not identical according to the basic analyses of the products.
In certain cases final mechanical properties may be taken into account, even with variations in chemical analyses.
The standard which refers to a certain material could
be just one of the standards in which the same material appears, since the same material may be used in more than one standard, depending on its application (e.g forgings, rolled sections, etc.).
Note: The two asterisks (**) placed in the center of the tables divide the standard (when required) from the material and vice-versa.
