Application
Digital input modules can be used to connect the PLC to digital process signals They are suitable for connecting standard switches and two-wire
proximity switches (BERO)
Design
Digital input modules are characterized by the following mechanical features:
e Compact configuration:
The rugged plastic housing contains:
- Green LEDs to indicate signal states at the inputs
- Slot for front connector, protected by a front cover
- Labeling area on the front cover
e Easy installation:
There are no slot rules; the addresses of the inputs are predetermined by the slot
When they are used in the ET 200M in combination with active bus modules, hot-swapping is possible
e User-friendly wiring
Function
Digital input modules convert the levels of the external digital signals from the process into the internal signal level of the PLC
