ADC’s four-port TrueNet®Midspan Power-over-Ethernet Controller provides a flexible way to power
IP telephony and other IP applications over a local area network This compact IEEE 802.3af-compliant device is designed to support small/home office applications, Wi-Fi access point
installations, IP security cameras and other network components requiring 12.95 watts of power
or less
The ADC TrueNet Midspan Power-over-Ethernet Controllers deliver compliant power to up to four devices, eliminating the need to upgrade existing Ethernet switches or provide unreliable local AC power to each device separately Like ADC’s larger port-count solutions, the four-port platform supports a broad variety of Power-Over-Ethernet enabled devices by detecting device presence and transmitting appropriate power according to IEEE 802.af or legacy in-line powering standards The four-port midspan device features full 15.4 watt powering capabilities on all ports and
redundant connections for two power supplies The rugged extruded aluminum design protects internal electronics in harsh environments and the device can be shelf, wall, or rack mounted to support diverse powering applications
Features:
• Dual compatibility with IEEE 802.3af and
earlier devices
• Detects device presence and transmits
appropriate power, achieving dual
compliance to IEEE 802.af and Cisco’s
legacy in-line powering standards
• Delivers up to 15.4 watts of power on all
ports
• Redundant power connections for two
power supplies
• Flexible shelf, wall, or rack mounting
options support diverse applications
Applications and Benefits:
• Four-port platform ideally sized for small/home office applications and installations of smaller port-count IP devices such as Wi-Fi access points
• Utilizes existing infrastructure, including standard cables and RJ45 connectors
• Offers less expensive, faster, simpler way to power remote IP network devices such as Wi-Fi access points, IP security cameras, and VoIP telephones
