Exercise 1: Comparing the Process
1 Identify a project that you have been involved with in the past
The project does not need to be a software development project if you have never been involved in one You need only select a project that involved some activities related to synthesizing information that you had gathered for
a project
2 Reflect on the process that you used in the project to sift through and summarize the information Then discuss the answers to the following questions:
• Did you use a process advocated by a particular company or resource? If
so, what was it?
• What were the stages of the process?
• What was involved in each stage?
• What were the advantages and disadvantages of the process?
