By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to know about the importance of English, classroom rules, commands.

B- Preparations:

1/ Teacher: Text book, lesson plan,

2/ Students: Textbooks, notebooks, reference books

III/ New lesson: (25`)

Activity 1: The importance of English

- In groups of 4, Ss discuss the importance of English.

Activity 2: Classroom rules

- Teacher says about the classroom rules in Vietnamese.

- Learn by heart vocabulary, grammar and write examples.

- Read the dialogue.

- Do exercises in the workbook.

- Prepare next lesson.

Activity 3: Classroom commands

- Teacher use TPR – Ss look, listen and act

Stand up, sit down, open the book, close the book, come in, go out, come here, come back to (turn) your seat, look, listen, repeat, read, write, sing.

IV/ Consolidation:(3`) Game: Simon says

Teacher explains the rules of the game and makes sure Ss understand that they must hear “Simon says…” to perform the action If not, they should do nothing.

Period 2: Introduction the book

A-The aims and objectives:

By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to understand well about the book : Explore our world (student book and workbook) and some charactors in the book.

B- Preparations:

1/ Teacher: Text book, lesson plan,

2/ Students: Textbooks, notebooks, reference books

C- Procedures:

I/ Organization: (2`) - Greeting

- Checking attendance

II/ Warm-up: (5`) Game

Slap the board with the classroom commands

III/ New lesson: (25`)

Activity 1: Introduce the book

Teachers asks and Ss look at the book, answer the questions ( in Vietnamses) How many units are there?

How many lessons are there in one unit?

How many reviews are there?

How many stories are there ?

What page can you see the book map?

What page can you see the glossary?

Where can you see the charactors in the book?

What things can you use to draw and colour the pictures?

Activity 2: Introduce the main charactors

- Teacher introduces the name of the charactors one by one Ss look, listen and repeat.

- Ss practise saying the name of the charactors.

IV/ Consolidation:(3`) Some Ss introduce the book.

*Evaluation:

- Sentence patterns: I’m Nam

Stand up, sit down, open your book, close your book

C Teaching aids: Book, board, pictures

- Introduces the situations they meet each other

- Giving the vocabulary

IV Consolidation:

- Asks Ss to introduce about their names again,

using above structures

2.While- listening

3.Practice

-Have ss count the pencils as they listen

Pause the audio after number 3 Model

tracing the number 3 on p.11 then , have ss

do it walk around the room to make sure ss

are holding their pencils correctly Continue

playing and have ss do the same for number

Place three pens and four books on the

table Have ss count and say how many there

are of each item

5 Wrap up: say Good job today , now let’s
