Trang 35 Reinforcing the Cabinet About This Chapter
This chapter guides you to reinforce the installed cabinets For stability purpose, cabinets must be reinforced by the following methods
Combining the adjacent cabinets with joint plates
Reinforcing the cabinet to the cabling frame
The following table lists the contents of this chapter
Section Description
5.1Combining the Adjacent Cabinets
Describes operations and procedures of combining the adjacent cabinets.
5.2Reinforcing the Cabinet to the Cabling Frame
Describes operations and procedures of installing the cabinet shockproof components.
5.3Checking the Installation Describes the checklist of the installation.
Trang 45.1 Combining the Adjacent Cabinets
Purpose This procedure guides you to combine the adjacent cabinets
with joint plates.
Tools /Materials Joint plate
Cross screwdriver
Prerequisites The installation of cabinets is finished.
Required/As needed As needed.
Note
The adjacent cabinets must be combined with joint plates Two joint plates are delivered with every cabinet
Step 1 Remove the joint plate from the top of the cabinet Before delivery, the joint
plates have been attached to the cabinet See Figure 1.1
Joint plate
Figure 1.1 Position of joint plates
Step 2 Insert the M5 x 10 tapping screws into the joint plate and further into screw holes
on the top of the two adjacent cabinets Screw them tight to fix the joint plate See Figure 1.1

Purpose This procedure guides you to reinforce the cabinets to the
cabling frame.
Tools /Materials Fixing bracket
Insulation plate Diamond-shaped nut M8 x 20 bolt
M8 x 25 bolt
Prerequisites The cabinets have been installed already.
The cabling frame has been installed.
The cabinet is 2600 mm high.
The cabling frame has side troughs.
Required/As needed As needed.
Step 1 Determine where to install the fixing part according to positions of the installed
cabinet and the cabling frame
Step 2 Place the diamond-shaped nut into the trough of the cabling frame
Step 3 Place a spring washer and a flat washer onto the M8 x 20 bolt
Step 4 Insert the bolt assembly through the fixing bracket and screw the bolt into the
diamond-shaped nut in the trough of the cabling frame See Step 7Figure 1.1
Note
Do not screw the bolt too tight Screw it until the bolt cannot fall out
Step 5 Place an insulation plate between the cabinet and the fixing bracket
Step 6 Place a spring washer, a big flat washer and an insulation washer onto the M8 x
25 bolt
Step 7 Insert the bolt assembly through the fixing bracket and insulation plate, and into
the nut on the cabinet See Figure 1.1

Required/As needed As needed
Step 1 Determine where to install the fixing part according to positions of the installed
cabinet and the cabling frame
Step 2 Adjust the height of the adjustable bracket according to the distance between the
cabinet and the cabling frame
Step 3 Place the diamond-shaped nut into the determined position in the trough of the
cabling frame
Step 4 Place a spring washer and a flat washer onto the M8 x 20 bolt
Step 5 Insert the bolt assembly through the adjustable bracket, and into the
diamond-shaped nut in the trough of the cabling frame
Step 6 Insert another M8 x 20 bolt assembly through the fixing bracket and the
adjustable plate, and into the corresponding nut with moderate force

End 5.3 Checking the Installation
The following requirements should be met when the cabinet is reinforced properly
The joint plates for combining cabinets are installed correctly and properly, with all screws tightened
The cabinet is stable with the fixing parts installed If not, check whether the bolts are screwed tight and whether correct installation mode is adopted
