INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO CREATE THE IMAGE (ISO):

For Vista 32-bit (x86) :

1 Download and install vLite from

2 Download the three x86 files

3 Copy install.wim, boot.wim and X13-49120.exe to your root folder, e.g C: \

4 Double click X13-49120.exe and wait for it to extract, this will create a Vista folder, e.g C: \Vista

5 Delete any existing boot.wim and install.wim files from the Vista\sources folder, e.g C: \Vista\sources

6 Copy both the boot.wim and install.wim files you downloaded earlier to the

Vista\sources folder

7 Start vLite and click Browse on the first page, select the Vista folder, e.g C: \Vista

8 In the new dialog that pops up, select the edition you would like then click OK, e.g Windows Vista ULTIMATE

9 Now click Next, untick everything except Unattended Setup, Bootable ISO and Enable before apply

10 Click Next, tick Skip product key and Skip automatic activation

11 Click Next, click Apply then click Make ISO, select a place to save the new ISO, e.g C: \

12 Burn the ISO to a DVD and you're good to go

For Vista 64-bit (x64) :

1 Download and install vLite from

2 Download the three x64 files and the etfsboot.com file

3 Copy install.wim, boot.wim, X13-49121.exe and etfsboot.com to your root folder, e.g C: \

4 Double click X13-49121.exe and wait for it to extract, this will create a Vista folder, e.g C: \Vista

5 Delete any existing boot.wim and install.wim files from the Vista\sources folder, e.g C: \Vista\sources

6 Copy both the boot.wim and install.wim files you downloaded earlier to the

Vista\sources folder

7 Copy etfsboot.com to the Vista\boot folder, e.g C: \Vista\boot

8 Start vLite and click Browse on the first page, select the Vista folder, e.g C: \Vista

9 In the new dialog that pops up, select the edition you would like then click OK, e.g Windows Vista ULTIMATE

10 Now click Next, untick everything except Unattended Setup, Bootable ISO and Enable before apply

11 Click Next, tick Skip product key and Skip automatic activation

12 Click Next, click Apply then click Make ISO, select a place to save the new ISO, e.g C: \

13 Burn the ISO to a DVD and you're good to go
