II WARM UP (5 minutes)
Shark’s attack:
- Cut out a shark (or crocodile) and a school boy/
girl from card
- Draw some steps, then stick the cut out boy/
girl on top of the steps, the shark is in the sea
- Draw 5 gaps for the word WHERE
- Ask students as a whole class for a letter in the
alphabet They have to try to guess the word If
their guess is wrong, the girl/ boy has to step
down If their guess continues until students find
out the word WHERE and the shark can’t eat the
boy/ girl
III NEW LESSON (35minutes)
Step 1 Pre Speaking

* Speaking:
- Have students read th questions in exercise a)
on page 24, work in pairs, play the role of A and
B, ask and answer about their partner’s home
village, using the information in the box
- Tell students to cover the role that they don’t
play
* Survey :
- Ask sts to work in groups of 2
- Ask sts to write information about themselves
then ask their friends questions to complete the
table
Eg: A: Where is your home village?
B: It's in Hai Phong
A: How far is it from here ?
B: It’ about 15 kilometers from here.
A: How can you get there?
B: We can get there by bus.
A: How long does it take to get there?
B: It takes an hour.
A:Whatdo people do for a living in your
village?
B: They plant rice and raise cattle.
A: Does your village have a river?
B:There aren’t any rivers but there is a big
lake.
