3 Site Leader activates Organization Pillar team with appropriate charter

4 Team members must fully understand their roles and responsibilities

Step 2 Checklist

1 Site Leader shares business situation, CBN to change, IWS vision and current business results

2 Train and qualify pillar owner and team members on the Organization Pillar

3 Overview Pillar training provided to organization leadership team and other IWS resources

4 Conduct a Behavior Assessment/LAT

5 Leadership team trained on the principles and understands and aligns to the required new behaviors to achieve the CBN

6 Behavior observation systems put in place to measure Leadership and Organization Behaviors identified

in zero loss journey

1 Identify gaps in current results versus business situation

2 Identify behaviors that influence current results

3 Identify defects in the current organization design that require correction

4 Identify the real strategy and understand the gap between that and the articulated strategy

5 Compare the real strategy to the business situation

Step 4 Checklist

1 Conduct a baseline IKEA prior to developing the Pillar Master Plan

2 Based on the site’s master plan, establish tasks, timing, critical path, milestones, and resources for the Pillar implementation

Step 5 Checklist

1 Create and design/redesign team with the appropriate charter (team develops)

2 Verify business strategy to deliver the Compelling Business Need

3 Make any changes in any of the design elements to fit the new strategy Pillar owners need to specify for

the Design Team the approximate distribution (how many people and what skill level) of these skills across the organization

4 Identify positive and negative impacts of new design elements on the organization culture

5 Predict results from new design and adjust if necessary

1 Use Steps 4.0 - 5.0 to update the Pillar Master Plan
