I/ NEW WORDS:

- (to) join : tham gia

- (to) hold – held : tổ chức

- exháusted (adj.) : kiệt sức

- (to) chew : nhai

- (to) swállow : nuốt

II/ Grammar: “ The past simple” ( Thì Quá Khứ Đơn)

Có 2 loại động từ:

a/ Động từ tobe: “ was / were ”

S = I/ He/ She/ It (số ít) + was

S= We/ You/ They (số nhiều) + were

b/ Động từ thường:

 Một số động từ bất qui tắc không thêm “ed”

+ Khẳng định : S + was / were …

- Phủ định : S + was / were + not…

? Câu hỏi : Was / were + S ….?

+ Khẳng định : S + V2 (động từ bắt quy tắc)

Ved

- Phủ định : S + did + not + Vo

? Câu hỏi : Did + S + Vo ?

get => got

see => saw

buy => bought

 Nhận biết : yesterday (hôm qua), last night/ last week/ last month/ last

year: tối qua/ tuần trước/ tháng trước/ năm ngoái , ago: Cách đây (two hours

ago: cách đây 2 giờ/ two weeks ago: cách đây 2 ngày …), in + năm ở quá khứ ( in 1990)

 Usage: We use the Past simple to talk about a finished action in the past We often say when it happened
