INTRODUCTION

1 Rationale

We are living in an age of extremely strong material development, besides the conveniences brought about by these substances, there are more and more disadvantages to the spiritual life of families and children Children are "attacked" by too many things from the hasty lifestyle, the market A growing number of problems are occurring with children: difficulty eating, difficulty sleeping, aggression, irritability, paleness, weakness, inactivity, withdrawal from communication, slow speech, lack of concentration, hyperactivity, autism, depression, …

Family is still the biggest cradle in the formation of a child's personality The cooperation between the family and the school will create a good effect in the care and fostering of the child's personality So we need to create children to live in a safe, happy environment and grow up healthy, confident, loving and trusting in the world around them

In today's busy life, creating a child such an environment is not easy to do

After implementing Resolution 15 / QH12 of the National Assembly and Resolution 19 / NQ-CP of the Government, Ha Dong was an administrative unit directly under Hanoi from August 1, 2008 Up to now, the district has 17 administrative units of the ward, the population of over 319 thousand people is distributed in 250 residential groups with more than 86,114 households, population density is nearly 6,602 people / km2

Ha Dong is a district with rapid urbanization rate with roads, urban areas, high-rise apartment buildings, industrial clusters, points, commercial and service centers built to contribute to promoting the county's economy and society are increasingly developed Currently, Ha Dong District has 43 public kindergartens + 26 private kindergartens + private kindergartens

The need for really quality, child-oriented environments, taking care of and nurturing them to promote their imagination, thinking ability and love are always standing Especially in Ha Dong where population growth rate, especially young population, young households with small children when projects are continuously handed over and land fund for development in Ha Dong District is quite large

Young families with an average income or higher, they do not have much time to care for and teach their children due to busy life But these are also families who are always willing to invest in child care education, they always want their children to be happy, healthy and loved children; want children to develop naturally, love nature, plants and animals; want children to know how to love, understand, share; want children to love

Trang 11

to explore and be discovered with interest; We want children to love art and be nurtured in

a rich spirit

As a mother of two young children, I sympathize with the wishes and expectations

of parents, I wish to be together with the parents - who always wish the best for their children, always wish want your children to live happily in any circumstances, to join hands

in building up the environments for the first years of life to create the foundation for their future life, from understanding, courage resilient in the context of too much information, too much value, overwhelming trend I want to create a school with family, give children a peaceful, happy and meaningful childhood so they have a solid foundation before stepping into the big and challenging world out there We will teach children to love, share, be grateful for things for themselves, live responsibly with themselves and with others, before teaching them

to be smart and make good money, for the values of a child Kind people will make children know how to make a happy life for themselves and everyone

Above are the reasons I have chosen to research and build the graduate thesis of MBA business administration program of the Faculty of Business Administration - Hanoi

National University (HSB) with the topic: “Building the business development strategy

for Broccoli kindergarten”, in order to fully prepare theoretical basis and practical

research for the project's realization plan in the coming time

2 Literature review

The first private preschool was formed in the eighteenth century, in the context of a need for preschools for the children of women working in factories and orphans, parents working all day, with the goal of giving these children a good moral education foundation

so that their parents can work smoothly

By the nineteenth century, realizing the important role of education in the early years of a child's life, the establishment of private preschools became a trend throughout Europe and quickly spread worldwide such as Canada, USA, Germany During this period there were many typical early childhood education programs: Elizabeth Harrison (1886) discussed early childhood education theory and educational standards for preschool teachers

In general, research on preschools in countries around the world has affirmed the role of private preschools in the national education system and other countries also support and orient for development Developing private kindergartens to promote their role in child care and education

Trang 12

Waldorf education is an educational method based on the theory of child-rearing by Austrian philosopher Rudolf Steiner The study here uses many methods of thinking, or at least it is the method of different disciplines combined with practice, art or cognitive factors Waldorf education specifically emphasizes the role of imagination, thinking development that includes elements of creativity as well as analysis The purpose of this educational method is to provide children with a basic foundation for moral development,

to become an integral individual and to contribute to fulfill its destiny The school as well

as the teacher has certain freedom in setting the curriculum The first Waldorf school was established in 1919 for the children of the workers working in the Waldorf-Astoria tobacco factory in Stuttgart (Germany) By 2009 there were about 994 Waldorf schools in 60 different countries around the world and by 2001 there were about 1,400 kindergartens as well as 120 institutes that research this special education mode There are also many public and private schools based on the Waldorf school model, and Waldorf's ideas are more or less applicable in the expansion of American school models today

Although Waldorf education originated 100 years ago, many believe it will fulfill its promise in the twenty-first century, not in the twentieth century The fact that it has experienced rapid growth around the world since the 1970s and that growth is accelerating

in the 1990s, suggests that it could be an education suitable for growth social development because it fosters an age-appropriate mindset

At the same time, many other forms of education are being attacked more and more American public schools, for example, are facing a crisis in thinking, and educators everywhere are trying to figure out why There are three main manifestations of the crisis,

as reported and discussed by the media at educational conferences: (1) At the preschool level, many children show signs of stress and do not do well in kindergartens Education oriented education Educators are now recommending a return to the preschool play-oriented curriculum, instead of the one that has been in place for the past twenty years (2)

At the elementary level, one often hears about exhaustion among third and fourth graders After the age of nine, many children simply do not want to learn any more In high school, educators say many students can't seem to think Ask them a defining question that requires a correct / false answer or multiple choices, and they get it right But asking them

to think through a problem thoroughly, evaluate and suggest suitable solutions seems to create a great problem for them It seems that very few educators see a relationship between these three crises, but in Waldorf's view the problems of elementary and high school follow the consequences of early childhood learning Therefore, preschool

Trang 13

education is the root of the problems of educational development at all levels and later social development

Steiner (Waldorf) is a classic method but continues to develop strongly in many countries, especially developed countries Steiner education focuses on the human values and competencies: Independent competence; The spirit of cooperation and support for mutual development; Independent and autonomous thinking; Sharp intuition; Creative capacity, rich imagination This is a very popular method of education in the world, helping children to adapt to the living environment and develop their creativity, imagination, integrate into nature, and build a sustainable physical Learning at Steiner is fun, it's arousing, remembering, not cramming Similar to the Montessori educational methods, instructional materials or programs are only suggestive At Steiner, teachers must

be the role models of Truthfulness-Compassion-Beauty for children to follow It is the tenderness, lightness, personality and attitude of teachers that are the moral standards and behavior for children in a warm, loving environment

In Vietnam, preschool education is the first level of education in the national education system Preschool education includes kindergartens and kindergartens, nurturing and taking care of children aged 3 months to 6 years according to the preschool education program issued by the Ministry of Education and Training The goal of preschool education is to help children develop physically, emotionally, intellectually and aesthetically, forming the first elements of personality, preparing children for grade 1; to form and develop in children the fundamental psycho-physiological functions, capacities and qualities, essential and age-appropriate life skills, to promote and develop to the maximum potential abilities , laying the foundations for learning at the next level of learning and for lifelong learning

As for the private preschool system, this is a private kindergarten education allowed to be established and operated by the competent authority in accordance with the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training and the law, to contribute share with the state to take care of the cause of education and meet social requirements

Waldrof teaching has begun to develop in Vietnam in recent years, especially in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, mostly developed to include 2 levels of education, preschool and primary school

CHAPTER 1 THEORETICAL BACKGROUND

1.1 New business development strategy

1.1.1 Enterprise concept

Enterprise means an organization with its own name, assets, transaction office, and registered for establishment in accordance with law for business purposes (According to the Enterprise Law 2014)

1.1.2 Definition of business strategy:

In terms of origin, strategy is a term used first in the military field, to refer to the role of commanders and leaders of generals, the way of commanding soldiers, soldiers, fighting to win competitor Today, the term strategy has been used quite widely in many fields, especially in business, people often use the term business strategy, corporate strategy, strategic management…

According to Alfred Chandler, strategy identifies the fundamental, long-term goals

of the business, chooses the mode or course of action and allocates the necessary resources

to achieve those goals The strategy to cope with competition is the combination of the goals to be achieved and the means that businesses need to find to achieve those goals (M Porter) Strategy is the sum of decisions and actions related to the choice of means and the allocation of resources to achieve a certain goal

Business strategy has an important meaning to the existence and development of an enterprise Well-built business strategy helps enterprises gain high profits, sustainable growth, and proactively adapt to the business environment Business strategy sets out great goals, in which both short and long term resources need to be mobilized to implement plans that do not deviate from development

Business strategy is a strategy to create a competitive advantage of the business industry in

a specific product market, on the basis of efficiently exploiting valuable resources and key capabilities of the business, requiring business Enterprises combine a wide range of business activities, with a commitment to every effort in the business, thereby maintaining the provision of products and services that better satisfy customers' needs in the market

It can be affirmed, business strategy is the way and mode of business competition,

it determines the type of products and services it provides, business scale, profitability, production resources as well as the growth prospects of the business

Trang 16

1.1.3 Features of business strategy:

Business strategy with a long-term orientation: setting goals, determining the development direction of the business in the long-term (3 years, 5 years) in order to orient business operations in a variable business environment moving

Objective calculation: Business strategy often defines basic goals, business directions in each period, and policies to properly implement set objectives

Continuity: Business strategy needs to be reflected throughout the continuous process from formulating, implementing, verifying, and adjusting the strategy

Relevance: Building strategy requires businesses to properly assess the current state

of production and business activities, regularly review and adjust to suit changes in the environment

1.1.4 Business strategy classification:

According to Michael Porter, the business strategies that businesses often apply to compete in the market include: (1) Product differentiation strategy; (2) The strategy of lowering the cost of creating a product; (3) Market concentration strategy

a Product differentiation strategy:

The product differentiation strategy is to make the company's products different and more attractive than those of competitors (in terms of appearance, features, durability, service quality, brand image, ) and businesses can set prices higher and still attract customers

In order to successfully apply this strategy, enterprises need (i) a process of research, development, and innovation of products; (ii) the ability to provide high quality products; (iii) effective marketing and sales activities, in order to ensure that customers can feel the difference and benefits that the business brings

b The strategy to lower the cost of creating a product:

Cost reduction strategy is the business maintaining the lowest cost in the industry

or in the market

Businesses pursuing this strategy need capital to invest in cost-cutting technologies, highly efficient operating processes, low-cost platforms (labor, raw materials, equipment, )

c Market concentration strategy:

Market concentration strategy is that businesses only focus on niche markets, which are small market segments, with distinct characteristics Competitive advantage is created

Trang 17

from a deep understanding of market characteristics and the ability to provide products and services suitable for those characteristics

1.1.5 Basic strategic levels:

Strategy can be managed at many different levels within an enterprise but usually there are 3 basic levels of strategy

a Company strategy

The Enterprise level strategy covers the general corporate orientation of management growth in member units, the allocation of financial resources and other resources among these member units; Define a desirable structure of products, services, of the business areas in which the enterprise is engaged in business; identify the industry (or industries) in which the business is or will have to conduct each industry that needs to be traded (eg, affiliated with other company branches or independent businesses )

For example, Eaton corporation's company-level strategy must determine which of the 57 domestic and foreign branches of the company to keep, which branch needs to close which new industry and master contracts What weakness (or what kind of contract) to pursue

b Business unit strategy:

A business unit-level strategy focuses on improving the competitive position of its products and services within the business industry or a combination of market products in which it is engaged Business unit-level strategy covers the competition topics businesses choose to emphasize, the ways it positions itself to market to gain competitive advantage, and the different positioning strategies it can use in different contexts of each industry

c Functional strategy

Focus on managing and using most effectively the resources of the business and each member unit Functional strategies are developed in order to successfully implement the business unit-level strategy and thereby successfully implement the enterprise-level strategy

Functional strategies include: research and development, production, marketing, human resources, finance

1.1.6 Building a new business strategy:

a Defining strategic goals:

- Determining strategic goals is the first step that is also the foundation for building strategy The strategic goal is the direction to strive for the business to implement and achieve the desired results Therefore, in order for the strategy to be highly practical

Trang 18

and specific, the objectives set should be consistent with the reality of the business environment and in accordance with the specific conditions of the business For businesses, the goal should ensure the following factors:

- Specificity: what is the goal to be clarified in relation to? Implementation progress like? What are the results to be achieved? The more specific the goal, the easier it is to plan a strategy to achieve it Specificity includes the quantification of goals in terms of specific indicators

- Feasibility: A set goal must be achievable If the goal is too high then it will be difficult

to accomplish and the goal is too low then it will not work

- Consistency: The set objectives need to be consistent with each other so that the process of implementing one goal does not hinder the achievement of another The opposite goals often cause internal conflicts in the enterprise, so it is necessary to classify the priorities for the goals, there should be reconciled solutions in the implementation of the set objectives

- Flexibility: The set goals must be adjustable to suit the changing business environment,

in order to avoid risks and take advantage of opportunities However, when changing goals, it is necessary to carefully consider the corresponding changes in related strategies and action plans

b Analysis of the external environment:

- The external environmental analysis including the macro environment and the micro environment are considered as the objective factors affecting the strategic planning of the business These are the necessary bases for building a business strategy, a strategy that follows all environmental changes Any change can change the operating status of

an enterprise and can change the performance results against the set goals

- Analysis of the macro environment includes: economic factors, political - legal factors, cultural - social factors, technological - technical factors, natural factors

- Micro environmental analysis includes: The level of competition in the market, alternative products, customers, input suppliers, barriers to entry

- Important contents in the analysis of the external environment:

+ Market analysis:

o Overall market analysis:

+ Understanding the overall market helps businesses determine their scope of activities Careful analysis of the market or industry may lead to a business opportunity

Trang 19

or expansion of a market or product This can be done by aggregating trends or changes that are occurring in the market but that affect the

o Market segmentation

+ When a customer buys a product or service, they often have the same basic needs However, their buying behavior may be different If analyzed carefully, it is possible to divide into smaller groups of customers according to the criteria These criteria will help identify similar buying behavior among customers within the same group and show differences between one group and another Such segmentation of customer groups is called segmentation and each group is called a segment In addition to the common characteristics, the identification of the segments and the unique characteristics of each segment will help the business to have more effective marketing measures, and at the same time, satisfying the needs

of customers in each small group will also better

+ To segment the market, it can be based on geographical characteristics, purpose or circumstances of use, occupation, age, gender, income level, education, The implementation of market segmentation It is considered good when it meets the following requirements:

+ Measure the size or purchasing power of each segment

 Create a meaningful difference in marketing for the characteristics of each segment

 Identifiable and accessible to serve

 The segment must be large enough for profitable operation

 Can meet the specific needs of the segment

o Target market

+ Identify and describe the target market segment that the business is targeting (who, where, shopping habits, own tastes, ) Pay attention to characteristics relevant to featured marketing activities Describe their buying decision-making process, including the steps and progression (both rational and psychological) that a buyer goes through when making a buying decision All parties involved in or influencing decision-making should be identified If the company does not have a clear idea of the target market, this can be done after the market analysis is completed

+ Many business plans have missed this part or incorporated into the needs of customers However, we need to clarify the difference between the basic buying needs and the actual buying process If you have a clear understanding of the

Trang 20

buyer's decision-making process, you can know how to influence, influence, and change buying decisions

+ After analyzing the segments, deciding to choose one, some or all of the segments

to target is called choosing the segment serving strategy Enterprises can choose a segmentation strategy depending on the characteristics of the market, the degree of difference between the customer segments, the level of competition, the stage in the product cycle and the company's resources

+ Deciding which customer segments to target is a strategic decision that has a term impact on the positioning image and performance of the business in the future Building a strong foothold for a business in a certain segment takes a lot of time and resources Therefore, when choosing a business segment, it is necessary to consider the suitability with the long-term strategic goals and motto of the business

long-+ Competitive analysis

o First we need to identify the main competitors, then identify the gaps in the market

- the needs of the customers have not been met by competitors

o Competitors are businesses operating with the same product or service, on the same market and targeting the same focus group of customers that businesses are pursuing or preparing to pursue

o When analyzing main competitors, it is necessary to describe their product brands, market share estimates, customer focus segments and business strategy characteristics

o We should focus on analyzing the direct competitors with the business Therefore,

it is necessary to survey which enterprises are the main competitors In particular, focus on the business that is leading the market, trying to figure out why this business is successful Determine how competitors have positioned their products, and what market segments they are targeting

o The classification and ranking of competitors should be according to the level of competition, or just list 2 or 3 competitors that businesses think should be most concerned with In addition to listing the basic characteristics of a competing firm, the planner should emphasize the features that are relevant to the business Find the strengths and weaknesses of each competing business, key points for predicting their future plans, or describe how they respond to competitive behaviors Try to concisely define and summarize each competitor's strategy

Trang 21

o There is fierce competition between businesses trading similar products or services,

so the planner needs to identify, develop and exploit the advantages of the business compared to competitor To do this, we need to identify competitors' weaknesses in meeting the needs of customers as well as market gaps, possibly in terms of product quality, price, and support services to focus on exploit

- Use the following table to perform competitive advantage analysis

Table 1.1 Determining the gap of the market

12 Technology equipment status

13 Personnel status, management

14 Other factors

c

c Evaluation of strategic choice:

- On the basis of the selected strategic objectives and using the SWOT matrix tool to select the strategy by period

- Conditions to apply: must fully analyze relevant aspects including strengths, weaknesses, threats, threats, based on actual factors of the business

- The proposed strategy must clearly show the characteristics of the business, strategic vision, dare to take risks to catch opportunities

Trang 22

W/T combination strategies: Minimize weaknesses and avoid threats

- The strategists never consider all possible strategies that are beneficial to the business because there are in fact countless viable solutions and countless ways to implement these measures Therefore, only the most attractive group of strategies are selected for development

1.2 The concept of preschool education activities:

Preschool is a form of educational service for children in a concentrated location where there is a certain campus, with teachers or nannies, and is often designed with lots of cute toys or objects , funny music is in a transition from home to more formal learning for children, this is the first time for a toddler to get used to social life, the collective environment In kindergarten, children are taught to develop basic skills and knowledge through creative play and social interactions between groups of friends, as well as a first-hand lesson

In any country, too, preschool education always goes with the goal of helping children

to perfect and develop comprehensively ethically, physically, mentally, aesthetically, Quality of learning at schools Preschool greatly affects the development and completion of children That is the basis for forming personality and thinking to have enough luggage to enter the next ranks Therefore, in the current integration and modernization period, many parents want to find their children a good learning environment with high quality, thereby creating conditions for the school model private sector has great potential for growth There are many educational philosophies, in which the educational philosophy of Waldorf Steiner is one of the outstanding educational philosophies, respecting the simple, clear man, the free and the human person, creating a solid foundation for adults

Trang 25

1.3 Waldorf Steiner educational method:

The basis of Steiner's education is a study of people and developmental psychology presented by Rudolf Steiner (1861 - 1925) in his set of lectures entitled Research on people Since then, the differentiated work has expanded to the fields of physiology and psychology, methodology and method of teaching, as well as the number of new subjects, all of which belong to the foundations of education Steiner It is a child-derived pedagogy and the goal is to develop each child's individual potential It examines cultural diversity and the shared commitment, human ethical principles (see UN General Agreement on Human Rights, 10 December 1948, UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, 20 May November 1989, UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, December 13, 2008) Educators and teachers require teacher training in Steiner education and are obliged

to undertake a form of self-education consistent with Steiner education, as well as continue professional development

The structure of Waldorf's educational approach is based on Steiner's teaching theory

of child development This theory describes 3 main developmental processes of children, each of which requires its own educational methods:

Childhood learning is mainly based on experiences, imitation and feelings The education of this period especially emphasizes learning through practical activities of children

Learning (young age 7-14 years old) is compared to an art and creativity During these years, education emphasizes the development of a child's emotional and artistic life through different expressions and visuals of art

During adulthood, the importance in the development of intellectual understanding and moral ideals (e.g social responsibility) has a special role in the development of the ability to think outside the box , and concepts Waldorf School has the same principles as many other schools, but besides that it also has its own methods of teaching In particular, government-sponsored Waldorf-style schools may be required to follow an integrated curriculum of instruction

Waldorf School sets the problem of learning from childhood through imitation and example Children are taught in a home-like classroom environment, where all the learning tools are made from nature Such an environment according to Waldorf's educational theory is good for the child's physical, emotional, as well as intellectual development Outdoor games are also widely used in schools with the aim of providing children with experiences of nature, weather and seasons of the year In Waldorf schools, the

Trang 26

development of children's language skills is through songs, poems or movement games These include the teacher's daily storytelling time Toy tools made from natural sources can be modified for different purposes Waldorf's dolls are often made in a simple way that children can use and reinforce their creativity and imagination Waldorf School does not encourage kindergartens and elementary school students to use electronic devices such as televisions, computers or music tapes because they believe these are not conducive to the child's development in these early years Education also emphasizes early experiences for children through daily activities in life including festivals

A study of Waldorf's children's ability to draw pictures between children at Waldorf and other schools has shown that: Art teaching at Waldorf not only gives children a more creative capacity in drawing as well as color usage, but the drawings are even more detailed and accurate Other research has also shown that Waldorf students score higher on Creative Thinking Ability tests than students in public schools Another example of the success of Waldorf's education is the T.E school Mathews Community in Yuba Counti, California is for students who don't This school switched to the Steiner method in the 90s

In 1999 research showed that students here became more advanced in lectures, and thus had better results in learning and relationships the social system gets better This study also demonstrates the effective combination of lessons as well as other activities, which is the best way for students to develop their abilities Research has also shown students' progress in math learning, in community Professor Robert Peterkin sees Waldorf education as an educational method that is applicable to all students Thomas Nielsen considers Waldorf's approaches to creative teaching (storytelling, art, discussion and empathy) that have stimulating effects on aesthetic, spiritual development , physical and mental and it is suggested that these disciplines should be used in mainstream training Some of Waldorf's educational methods have also been adopted by teachers from both private and public schools

Trang 27

Conclusion of chapter 1:

Formulating new business development strategies, especially those operating in the private preschool sector, requires strategic makers to have an understanding of early childhood education and decide to choose the educational method create the core values of the business, to apply in appropriate strategic planning With the choice of the Steiner educational method as the core value, a private preschool development strategy must both ensure the full content of strategic planning and ensure compliance with the Steiner educational method

- Broccoli School's Preschool program strives to lay the foundations for physical health and vitality, surprise and excitement with the world, ready to learn and explore the world through fish experiences for the ability to have good relationships, and for both

Trang 33

physical, emotional, intellectual and mental development Teachers agree with equal value to develop each child's cognitive, social, emotional and physical abilities, with the aim of supporting each child's healthy development

- The early years of childhood focus on a child's healthy development nurtured by a warm, trustworthy atmosphere and guided by safety, confidence, gratitude, goodness, and joy looks, amazed and revered Moving from home or day care to school care Broccoli is strived to be done with love and care by providing a home-like atmosphere Teachers believe in the importance of healthy cooperation with parents and caregivers and acknowledge that parents are their child's first educators

- Each child is received with respect and respect for his or her personality, and encouraged through positive models and examples, to respect themselves and others Parental support for Steiner's philosophy, program, and honest and respectful communication between parents and teachers are vital to building children the strengths, skills, and knowledge to learn ask Teachers engage themselves in continual self-education to bring an inner attitude worthy of the presence of young children This

is founded on the belief that in the end, one of the most profound influences on the child, the teacher is who the teacher is, and who and how we are becoming This philosophy provides an insight into the mission of early childhood education and provides a foundation from which we embrace and link our daily practices with early learning

- In our program, each child is recognized as being three parts of body, soul and spirit,

on an evolutionary path of development This recognition provides the foundation for everyday activities in the room and for relationships between adults and children A deeper understanding of people in human development and anthropology, as well as the practice of teaching reflexes and observing children, all of which help to support a teacher's need for imagination and inspiration and intuition, and establish an ethical and ethical tone in class

- Teachers bring gratitude, respect, and wonder to the world young children see and this allows them to develop the ability to love, devote and contribute to the world in the years to come

- The children are encouraged to learn by imitation and routine and through many times performing tasks that were intentionally placed in front of them

Trang 34

- In practice, the teaching is guided by examples and the curriculum is integrated and comprehensive rather than subject-based Learning is experienced through play and the arts and it doesn't need to be conceptualized or verbal to be understood

- Therefore, teachers observe what children do and make plans without bringing them out of their experience into concept This nature of experiential learning encourages children to be self-motivated and allows them to understand the world in an age-appropriate way: through positive imitation, exploring and feeling, touching and doing

- The environment is organized, clean, natural, and organic, and set up in a way that protects healthy gameplay It is imbued with love, beauty and goodness, where children's senses (touch, warmth, balance, wellness, movement, taste, smell, sight and hearing) are fed Nursing and where children play imaginatively and creatively, develop

in their own world of play

- The focus of the program is to create an authentic environment that encourages direct experiential learning and promotes children's physical, social and emotional development, language and speech development, and mental ability and attitude towards learning The virtual world of information and communication technology was not formally introduced in the early years, however children can showcase aspects of this form of technology in their activities and play

- Play is recognized as a serious and important activity through which children's creativity, imagination and initiative are promoted Young children learn through play, approaching it in completely separate ways and from their unique experience of the world in which they live

- Therefore, the teacher's role is to prepare the environment, both physically and socially, and to preserve the space and time to play in her active presence, rather than instructing

or directing children By holding healthy thoughts, intentions and imaginations and creating an environment that supports healthy play, including surroundings, open play furniture and materials, children are allowed confidence and safety in operations, where they can explore their world and freely find their way into the game arising from imitation and an intrinsic motivation This is then done by their own will and joined with others This type of play is often called self-directed play, or creative free-play

- Daily routines are rhythmic and harmonious and an emphasis on creating safety through regular patterns of activity throughout the day and through each week, thereby supporting the child's physical and emotional development is healthy and lays the foundation for resilience Familiar rhythms and daily activities provide a context in

Trang 35

which the need for verbal instruction is reduced and children can internalize activities without explanation A cyclical pattern is reflected in topics or work related to the seasons and festivals, and they reflect children's interest and developmental stages

- Good behavioral and life skills habits cultivated in the early years become the foundation for learning in elementary years and beyond

- Creative, self-expanding gameplay balanced by rich teacher-participatory art activities such as Circle Time (movement and speaking through singing, rhythm games, poetry, poetry and stories), Story Time (storytelling and puppetry), crafting, drawing and painting

- Teachers also participate in meaningful family activities that provide models for children to imitate, such as cooking and baking, washing, polishing, cleaning and gardening, washing and tidying up, creating and take care of the materials in the room These activities are integral to the program, reflecting children's interests, needs and preferences, and they take place every day in meaningful and authentic contexts where children are asked to Focus on the tasks in hand

- Activities are adjusted according to children's abilities and skills and tailored to the child's natural innate needs Through imitation they provide opportunities for children

to experience the inner attitudes of teachers' dedication, care, sense of purpose, participation and creativity

- Daily, seasonal and through special occasions such as festivals, magical experiences for the world and joy and enthusiasm for simple tasks are cultivated

- The program also aims to enrich children's spoken language and provide opportunities for them to develop social awareness through encouraging respectful daily interactions with each other In addition, developing children The senses and motivations to become self-controlled and independent are both considered very important for children to be effective communicators It is recognized that only after children master these skills and begin to form visual memory will they be ready to accept abstract and intellectual concepts If children do not have a chance between the ages of 5 and 6 years to apply their imagined will to social tasks and help others in an unaffected and intuitive way, then social ability and their active communication skills may be limited

- In a rich oral language environment, prepared reading and writing skills are actively supported, building a solid foundation for more formal reading and writing learning in the elementary years

Trang 36
