A: Listening

1 Class description: 44 grade 10 students of 10B11, Nguyen Thi Minh Khai high school.

2 Time: 45 minutes

3 Objectives: After the lesson, Ss will be able to:

- Listen for main ideas and specific information

4 Assumed knowledge: Ss may have already known some vocabulary related to the “Films and

cinema” topic

5 Anticipated problems:

- Ss may not know many different types of films, so T should be ready to provide help

6 Teaching aids: Textbook, Audios.

7 Procedure:

Warm-up

(5mins) Guess the picture-Divide Ss into 4 groups

-Ask each group to send a representative to the board

-Each representative comes to the board and starts to draw a picture illustrating the teacher’s clue

-All groups must try to guess what the picture

is before the representative has finished drawing it

-The group which guesses correctly fastest will receive 1 point

Four clues:

1.Titanic 2.Cinema 3.Cartoon 4.Romantic/Love story film
