Cách thành lập động từ V-ing

* Thông thường chúng ta thêm đuôi -ing sau các động từ (Ex:watch - watching, do - doing, ).

* Các động từ kết thúc bởi đuôi "e", chúng ta bỏ "e" sau đó thêm đuôi "-ing" (Ex: invite -* inviting, write -> writing * Các động từ kết thúc bởi đuôi "ie", chúng ta đổi "ie" thành "y" rồi thêm "-ing" (Ex: lie → lying, die → dying,.,.) * Các động từ kết thúc bởi đuôi "ee", chúng ta chỉ cần thêm đuôi "-ing " (Ex: see — seeing) * Các động từ kết thúc bởi một phụ âm mà trước đó là một nguyên âm đơn thì chúng ta nhân đôi phụ âm đó (Ex: begin-» beginning; swim → swimming). 1/ Công thức :

Quy định: I đi với am, he/she/it……is, you/we/they…… are

Viết tắt: is not…….isn’t / are not………aren’t / I am not……I’m not.

2/ Cách dùng:

- Diễn tả 1 hành động đang xảy ra và kéo dài 1 thời gian ở hiện tại

EX: The children are playing football now.

- Dùng sau các câu đề nghị, mệnh lệnh

EX: Look! The child is crying

Be quiet! The baby is sleeping in the next room.

- Dùng để diễn tả 1 hành động có dự định sắp xảy ra ở tương lai gần Có trạng từ chỉ thời gian đi

kèm như: tomorrow, next week/ month/ year…

EX: He is coming tomorrow.

My parents are planting trees tomorrow.

- Diễn tả 1 thói quen lặp đi lặp lại ( diễn tả sự phàn nàn ).Thường dùng với always, frequently,

continually…

EX: He is always asking questions.

She is always talking in class.

They’re always making noise.

 Lưu ý: Không dùng thì Hiện tại tiếp diễn với các động từ chỉ nhận thức, tri giác như;

Tobe, see, hear, understand, know, like, want, glance, feel, think, smell, love, hate, realize, seem, remember, forget….
