I Aim: By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to describe sporting activities and

pastime.

II Language contents:

1 Grammar: -What is she doing now?  She’s doing aerobics.

- What are you doing?  I am doing aerobics.

- Which sports do you play?  I play soccer.

- Which sports does she play?  She plays soccer.

2 Vocabulary: Swimming, badminton, skipping, tennis, jog, table tennis, do

aerobics.

III Techniques: Kim’s game, picture drill.

IV Teaching aids: Pictures, tape, laptop.

V Procedures:

-T uses pictures and asks:

-Ss answer

-T leads to the new lesson: today we will

describe sporting activities and pastime

I Warm up:

-What is this ? It ‘s soccer, volleyball

T uses pictures about sports.and introduces

-Ss guess its meaning

-Ss listen to the tape and look at pictures

-Ss listen to the 2nd and repeat (chorally,

of class

-Ss play “Slap the board”

-T plays the tape

-Ss listen to and repeat A3

-T requires them to guess sentence: Which

sports do you play ?

-Requires them to practice in pairs

-Ss practice in pairs (pictures)

- T uses pictures about Lan and Nam

-Ss look at the pictures

- T plays the tape, calls them reread the text

-Ss read the text again

-Ss ask-answer the questions (in pairs)

 She’s doing aerobics.
