I PRESENT PARTICIPLES – PAST PARTICIPLES: HIỆN TẠI PHÂN TỪ QUÁ

KHỨ PHÂN TỪ

1) Present participles (hiện tại phân từ): VING  Dùng rút gọn câu chủ động

Danh từ làm chủ từ hiện tại phân từ động từ chính Ex:  The boy is reading a book He is Ba

The boy is Ba He is reading a book

 The boy reading a book is Ba

 The girls went to school on foot They were strong and healthy

The girls were strong and healthy They went to school on foot

 The girls going to school on foot were strong and healthy

2) Past participles (quá khứ phân từ): VED/ 3  Dùng rút gọn câu bị động.

Danh từ làm chủ từ quá khứ phân từ động từ chính Ex:  The old lamp was made in China It is five dollars

The old lamp is five dollars It was made in China

 The old lamp made in China is five dollars

 The paintings were stolen from the museum They haven’t been found yet

The paintings which were stolen from the museum haven’t been found yet

 The paintings stolen from the museum haven’t been found yet

(steal – stole – stolen: cắp, trộm Find – found – found: tìm thấy

II REQUESTS WITH “MIND”: LỜI YÊU CẦU VỚI “MIND”

1) Yêu cầu người khác làm:

DO YOU MIND/ WOULD YOU MIND + V-ING …?

Ex:  Do you mind closing the door?

(Bạn có phiền lòng khi đi đóng cửa chính?)

 Would you mind opening the window?

(Bạn có phiền lòng khi đi mở cửa sổ?)

2) Yêu cầu người khác cho phép mình làm:

DO YOU MIND IF I + V …?

WOULD YOU MIND IF I + VED/ 2 …?

Ex:  Do you mind if I take a photo?

 Would you mind if I took a photo?
