1 Aims: By the end of the lesson, SS will be able to:

- Listen to the weather reports and take note

2 Practice skill: - Listeing

3 The knowledge needs to get:

+ Standard knowledge: - Listen to and write about the weather

+ Advanced knowledge: Ask and answer about the weather of the countries.

4 Basic language:

+ Vocabulary: centigrade/ celsius

+ Grammar: Review.

5 Attitude:- Help ss to have good consciousness in order to listen to the weather reports and take note

2 Practice skill: - Reading

3 The knowledge needs to get:

+ Standard knowledge: - Reading about a tour

+ Advanced knowledge: Ask and answer about the weather of the countries.

+ Vocabularies: volcano, lava, pour out, carve, situate, overhead, wharf, valley,

rock, shore

+ Grammars: Past progressive tense; Past progressive tense with ‘while’ and

‘when’

a Past progressive tense

Example:

- I was watching TV at 8 o’clock last night

The usage: The action was happening

at a certain time in the past

b Past progressive tense with ‘while’ and ‘when’.

- The lava was pouring out when we flew overhead

- At this time yesterday, my mother was cooking meal while my father was

reading newspapers

The usage:

+ The action was happening in the past and another one happened

( The lava was pouring out when we flew overhead)

+ Two actions were happening at the same time in the past

(At this time yesterday, my mother was cooking meal while my father was reading newspapers)

3 Practice.

Exercise 1: Write what Mrs Quyen did and saw in each of these place
