The difference between edible and non-edible
mushrooms is the toxins that are present in the
poisonous mushrooms
• Poisonous mushroom contain organic toxins that
destroy cells in the central nervous system,
blood vessels, kidneys and liver.
• Common toxins: amanitin and phalloidin.
