First, what is Radiography?

 Radiography is the making of film records

(radiographs) of internal structures of the body

by passing x-rays or gamma rays through the body to act on specially sensitized film

(Mosby's, 2009)

What is Digital Radiography?

• A filmless x-ray image

• Image is visible within seconds of exposure

• Uses a computer
