PART B: GRAMMAR

1 Should / shouldn’t : nên / không nên

Form: S + should / shouldn’t + V-inf + O

Usage :

- Dùng should / shouldn’t để nêu ý kiến và lời khuyên

Vd: It’s sunny You should wear a hat.

You shouldn’t eat any more chocalate.

- Chúng ta thường dùng “I think / I don’t think” với “should”

Vd: I think he should leave now.

I don’t think you should eat a lot of sweet.

2 Have to & don’t have to:

Form: S+ have to / has to + V-inf + O

S + don’t have to / doesn’t have to + V-inf + O Do/ does + S + V-inf + O?

Usages:

-“have to/ has to”: phải được sử dụng để nói những hành động cầ thiết do những quy

tắc hoặc luật pháp quy định hay bởi vì ai đó bắt chúng ta phải làm gì

Vd: My sister has to wear a school uniform.

I have to wear glasses My eyes aren’t good.

- “don’t have to” để nói những điều ko cần thiết.

Vd: It’s Sunday tomorrow.You don’t have to get up early.

I don’t have to take a bus to school b/c I live opposite my school.

3 Must:

Must là động từ khiếm khuyết có nghĩa là phải , dùng để diễn tả một hành động nào đó “cần thiết, quan trọng” phải làm (bản thân người nói quyết định )

S + must / mustn’t + V-inf + O.

Vd: You mustn’t smoke here (Bạn ko được hút thuốc ở đây)

We mustn’t be late for meeting tomorrow.
