4 'What would you do if you were having a problem with grammar, Jane?' Anne asked

Matthew said if he'd had his mobile the day before, he could have contacted me.

He told/ asked me to wash the floor if I had time./ He said that if t had time I was to wash the floor.

13 'If the door is clocked what shall I do?' she asked

She asked what she should do if the door was/ were locked.

14 'If we had a calculator, we could work this out a lot quicker,' they said

They said if they had/ had had a calculator, they could work/ could have worked that out a lot quicker.
