Unit 8: WHAT SUBJECTS DO YOU HAVE TODAY?

Lesson 2

I Objectives: After the lesson, students are able to:

- Asking and answering the questions about when someone has a subject.

- Develop: speaking, writing skill

- Studious and obedient students and love their friends

II Language focus:

- Vocabulary: school subjects.

- Sentence patterns: When do you have ? – I have it on

III Teaching aids:

1 Teacher’s: student’s and teacher’s book, objects, cassette.

2 Students’: books, notebooks, workbooks.

IV Procedures :

I Warm up:

* Sing the song : Days of the week.

* Check the old lesson: Word Chain.

- Have ss recall the school subjects

II New lesson

1 Look, listen and repeat

- Ask Ss to open their books on P.52

- Have ss listen to the dialogue

- Play again and ask ss to repeat each line of

the dialogue

- Call some pairs to read aloud

- Explain new the grammar

2 Look and say

- Have ss look at the table in part 2(p 54)

- Say: “ You are going to practice answering

the question “When do you have ?”

- Do a picture as a model

- Call some pairs to talk in front of the class

3 Let’s talk.

- Sing the song

- Play game “ Word Chain” about school subjects

- Look and identify the characters

- Listen

- Read the word and guess the meaning

- Listen and repeat Read in groups

- Identify when someone has a subject

- Ss work in pairs to practice

A: When do you have Science ? B: I have it on Mondays and Thursdays.

- Some pairs the rest of the class give comments

- Work in pair practice talking

- Have ss look at the questions in part 3(p54)

- Have Ss to talk

- Call on some students to report the answers

to the class

- Check and correct

III Consolidation:

- Learn by heart the vocabulary and sentence

pattern

-Make a time-table for yourselves

- 4-5pairs display in class, others comment

- Listen and remember

- Do at home
