your new show…

It’s so simple It’s just answering

questions and catching balls, as

totally mad as that sounds The

hosting, they’ll start dropping down But I like that chaotic element If we do a celebrity version, it would be good

to have a few cricketers, that way, if they don’t catch the ball, you can absolutely rinse them

of shows?

I been working for

20 years now and

I feel the reason I’ve been doing it so long is because of that I can turn my hand to a number of things and it keeps it interesting for

me and for the viewers If you pigeonhole yourself into being just a presenter or just an actor

or just a comedian or just a

questions could be as random as

‘which of these breeds of dogs is the same weight as a shot put?’

Or having to guess where the next musical notes are going to land Two couples take it in turns and then it’ll get to the point when one couple has won more money than the other couple, so they’ll go through

to the final and then it’s just them on their own Good, eh?

The first time I did it I walked on set giving it ‘Charlie Big Time.’

I went, ‘Yeah, go on, let one go!’

and I just totally missed it That was a good start and was when

I realised it’s more difficult than

it looks Strangely enough, as long as you catch the ball, you can still win the money, even if you get the question wrong

Do you have any pre-recording rituals?

I get nervous before everything I do That’s quite a nice thing to have or otherwise you’ll get complacent

I have five minutes on

my own before I go out because it’s just

a bit manic, so I try to get everyone out for the way so I can gather my thoughts But I don’t have lucky socks or underpants or anything!

Is there a catchphrase

on your new game show?

No, I mean it is

called Catchpoint

and catching the ball is basically the point! The title says it all so it doesn’t really need

a catchphrase

When you’re out and about,

do you get a lot of people shouting them at you?

People get a bit nervous and try to say a catchphrase, but then they get it completely wrong!

But it’s always a nice experience For me, personally, I take

it as a massive compliment that the catchphrases are part

of the culture now

What’s your favourite ever game show?

When I was a kid, I loved to

watch Larry Grayson do The

Generation Game because my

mum really liked it and she’d

be laughing and I’d be laughing,

so them kind of memories

Does work take you away from home?

I’m lucky because in my job you

do these jobs that are on telly for like, two months at a time, but you can get them all filmed in the space of three or four days, so

I can go do a block of work and then go back home and carry

on having a normal family life.What else is left in your broadcasting bucket list?

I’ve not done

a book yet, so that’s something I might look at in the next year I’d

be interested in writing a life story

I feel as though

at 45, I have a bit of experience now When I see people who write their life stories at 20, they’ve not had a life, but I feel I’m just at the right age to start.Warts and all?

I honestly don’t know how I’d approach it or where I’d start

my book Do I start at my childhood or write about the entertainment industry now? I’d have to have a proper sit down and think about that!

recruitment world for just over

four years But with more

coffee, my stomach churning

at every new message that

Despondent, I began trawling

as I was scrolling on Instagram,

I came across some profiles

of women who described

Following one link after

another through to different

websites, I spent the night

researching That’s when I came

Their site was full of beautiful

women of all shapes and sizes,

all available for online chats with

clients Feeling unusually bold,

I fired off an email

‘I’m probably not what you’re

looking for,’ I started ‘But I’d

like to know more.’

I’d never been overly

confident about my body I was

a size 12, and modelling had

never crossed my mind But I

was enthralled by the confidence

of these women and I knew

I had to give it a try Plus, it was a

job where I could work at home

First day on the job

Within minutes, I had a reply

‘You’d be perfect for us, let me

send you an application form,’

the message read A few days

later I was hired!

Tentatively, I told Mum, and

my grandma, Kay, 71 ‘I’m notsure about that,’ Mum saidworriedly ‘Will you be safe?' But

I assured her I was making aprofile with a fake name, andwouldn’t give out any of myinformation to the men Mygrandma was far more excited

‘You go for it,’ she told me

On my first day at ‘work’ I set

up a profile on the site, and had

to pay to get myself betterplacement on the home page

I was worried I’d be forking outmoney for nothing, but I got my first customer that evening

I’d picked out ablack nightgownand done my hairand make-up tomake myself feelconfident Tooshy to turn on thespeakers so myclient could hear my voice, I sat

in front of the webcam, typing messages to a stranger

At first, I was shaking withnerves But as the night went on,

I found I was enjoying myself Iexplained to the guy that it was

my first day on the job, and he

was really sweet andsupportive At no pointdid he ask me to take off

my clothes, or doanything sexual

‘That was easy,’

I thought as I switched off

my laptop for the evening

For the next few weeks,

I found my feet

A new beginning

Being a cam girl was different towhat I was expecting I thoughtI’d be writhing around like aporn star, performing sex acts onmyself while a seedy man looked

on But most

of the men justwanted a chat

Eventually, Ifelt brave enough

to speak to them,rather than justmessaging, and start taking off my clothes

The money was great, too

Most weeks I was making

£2,500 to £3,000 – all from thecomfort of my own home – and

I was able to pay off my debts

ever customer – ordered me

Of course, some men dorequest things that make me feel uncomfortable I’m happyperforming sexual acts, but I’mmore than happy to turn them down if I’m not keen

That’s the thing about thisjob It’s boosted my self-esteemand my self-confidence morethan I could have ever imagined.Soon after I got the job, I wasable to start leaving the housemore and more, and in the lastfew months I’ve travelled toAustralia, Thailand and Paris

on holiday – by myself That’ssomething I’d have never done

Of course, I sometimes worryabout my safety These mencould easily record my imageand share it across the internet,but I try not to think about that

I also make sure I never revealpersonal details to my clients,and so far I haven’t ever felt like I’m in any danger

Thankfully, all my friendsand family are really supportiveabout my job, but dating is hard.The last couple of times I told

a man about what I do, it’s beentoo much for him to handle.They see it as a form ofcheating, which is ridiculous.I’m the most loyal girlfriend youcould have, but I’ll never give upwhat I do for a man My job hasbrought back my confidenceand my happiness And ifthey can’t understand that , they don’t deserve me!
