Industry is the most important sector of the national economy, withdecisive influence to the development level of productive forces, social laborproductivity and growth of the economy Therefore, industrial development isboth an objective requirement and an important task in the process ofindustrialization of any country Vietnam is conducting to promote modernization,industrialization and industrial development is not only a precondition for creatinginfrastructure of the economy, promoting the development of other industries, butalso as the basis for building an independent, autonomy economy
During the years of renewal, Vietnamese industry has boom steps inscope, growth rate and share of total social product However, the practicalindustrial development of Vietnam still has many shortcomings, weaknesses andlag far behind the developed countries and some countries in the region So theEleventh Party Congress defined: "Restructuring, building the industry towardsstrongly developing fundamental industries which have comparative advantagesand strategic significance for the rapid, efficient, sustainable development,improving the independence and autonomy of the economy"
Bac Ninh province is located in the northern key economic zone andHanoi - Hai Phong - Quang Ninh growth triangle After being re-established(1997), Bac Ninh province has great potential and advantages for development,but also faces many difficulties and challenges In this context, the PartyCommittee of Bac Ninh province has identified: "As a narrow land, denselypopulated province, the road to get rich is to develop industry and handicraft"
