Part 1:
1 Describe the place you live in.
Well, now I live in a terraced house in the city centre with my family It’s a three-storey house with a small garden at the front.
2 Which is your favorite room in your house?
It’s definitely the kitchen, where our family gathers every evening to
enjoy dinner after an arduous working day I always love the mouth-watering aroma of the food my mom cooks and cherish the time that I share with my
family over the evening meal
3 Is there anything you want to change in your house?
Actually, I haven’t ever thought about that, but if I could change one thing, I would paint my room yellow and draw a picture on the wall At the moment, it’s painted pink but I have got tired of this color now
4 Are there many parks in your country?
I’m not too sure about the whole country, but here in the crowded capital, there are several parks with large lakes, providing green spaces for people who
want to escape from the hustle and bustle of city life So, I guess we have a lot
of parks in all the big cities across the country
5 What do people often do in public parks in your country?
Well, generally, people go there to get away from the crowds and enjoy
the fresh air They can do many types of activities such as going jogging,
cycling, taking exercise, just sitting on a bench watching the world go by, or
even dating
6 How often do you go to public parks?
Well, it depends For instance, if I finish my work early, I will go to the park near my office to do a bit of jogging and relax Otherwise, I usually go
home and put my feet up However, I’m trying to keep the routine of going
jogging in the park at least once a week to stay fit
7 Are the activities you do in the park now different from what you did in
the past?
Yes, they have changed, obviously When I was a kid, I only saw the park
as a playground where I could play on the merry-go-round with my friends.
However, now I go there mostly to take exercise and enjoy the peace and tranquility
8 What did you often do in public parks when you were a child?
Trang 2When I was a toddler, my parents took me to the park every weekend to play with the other kids As far as I can recollect, the thing I liked the most was
to play on the merry-go-round, slide and seesaw When I was a bit older, I used
to play football in the park with my friends
Part 2
Describe one of your best friends who you share a lot of moments with
ANSWER
I would like to describe my best friend, Huong, whom I have known for roughly 10 years I first met her at primary school when she was my classmate At first, she was quite shy and did not want to talk with anyone, which made me feel that she was a bit proud However, when we became close friends, she was more sociable and amiable
We have done a lot of things together Studying at the same schools, we have various mutual friends So, we usually throw parties at the weekends or have a picnic together Besides, whenever I get into trouble, I turn to her for help For example, I remember when I got bad marks in the mock university entrance exam, she consoled me and then we studied together until the official exam took place Finally, we had the opportunity to study at our favorite
college
At present, despite the fact that we have different plans and goals to pursue,
I believe that we will be best friends for good and we will try our best to
maintain this relationship

Trang 4Part 3:
1 Do you agree with the opinion: "family is much more important than
friends"?
Well, I agree with this idea, because for me, the family is irreplaceable.
Members of a family share the same blood and are have an unbreakable bond
with each other, which outsiders can never feel I think the ties of kinship are
stronger than any other relationships, and no matter how far apart you are, this connection can’t be erased… For instance, parents always give their children
unconditional love and support them wholeheartedly… and although siblings may fight, they’ll definitely stick up for each other if one is threatened in any
way
2 What is the difference between the friendship of men-men and
women-women?
Obviously, there are several recognizable dissimilarities here The most significant one might be that while male friendships are normally based on shared activities, especially sports, such as football, baseball or tennis, female friendships tend to be more emotional as they often share their feelings with
each other In addition, when it comes to arguments, men are the ones who find
it easier to settle them physically, whereas it takes longer for women to make
up with each other again after a disagreement
3 Do you think the friendship between men-men lasts longer than that of
women?
Well, actually I don’t think so Although the way men and women treat their same-sex friends is quite different, I suppose that the length of a friendship truly depends on the personalities of each person in the relationship, and how much they understand each other, rather than the gender For example, I have
some intimate friends who I’ve known for over 10 years and our friendship is still going strong and they have really become my soulmates So, I believe that
friendships among girls can also last a lifetime
4 Do you think bosses and employees can be friends?
Yes, I think it’s possible that the relationships between bosses and employees can be developed further than just workplace relationships When the manager and the employee understand and work well with each other, especially
if they are of the same generation, they can easily become friends, of course, outside the company As people simply make friends when they find the similarities between their souls, bosses and employees are no exception
Trang 5However, in my opinion, they should keep an appropriate distance at work so
as to do their jobs effectively
