MỘT SỐ DẠNG LỖI SAI DỄ NHẬN DIỆN

(HAY CÓ TRONG ĐỀ THI CHÍNH THỨC)

1 DẠNG HAI TỪ/ CỤM TỪ CÙNG NGHĨA ĐỨNG LIỀN NHAU

ví dụ:

- in my opinion, I think this book is more interesting than the other one

=> in my opinion = I think => SAI !

- These exercises look easy, but they are very relatively difficult for us

=> very và relatively đều là Trạng từ Bổ nghĩa cho TÍnh từ => SAI !

==> chữa lại bằng cách bỏ 1 trong 2

* Một số cấu trúc mang nghĩa: “Tôi cho rằng; theo ý tôi”:

- I think/ I believe/ I suppose

- in my opinion

- from my point of view/ view point

- in my judgement

- as far as i'm concerned

2 DẠNG LIỆT KÊ VỚI AND (hoặc có thể OR)

* Nhận biết dạng:

- câu sẽ cho liệt kê các từ, các cụm từ bằng dấu phẩy rồi có từ AND để kết thúc câu (A, B,

C, AND D) => thì 1 trong các từ này (thường từ cuối) sẽ SAI DẠNG so với các từ còn lại

ví dụ:

- Helen likes to listen to music, to go to the cinema, to chat on the phone and going

shopping

=> and going => and to go

- The team leader demanded from his team members a serious attitude towards work,

good team spirit, and that they work hard

=> and that they work hard => hard-workingness (sự chăm chỉ làm

việc)

(thực ra biết nó sai dạng thôi chứ từ chữa lại là từ hiếm)

ví dụ:

- Educated in the UK, his qualifications are widely recognized in the world of

professionals

=> Theo nguyên tắc Tách Câu Cùng Chủ Ngữ thì chủ thể của educated phải là he chứ

không phải là his qualifications => SAI

=> chữa lại: his qualifications => he has/ has got qualifications that

- publishing in the UK, the book has won a number of awards in recent regional book

fairs

=> Chủ ngữ của publish là the book => nó phải được xuất bạn => bị động

=> published mới đúng !

4 DẠNG SAI TƯƠNG QUAN TRONG SO SÁNH

* Nhận biết dạng:

- thường sẽ là 2 Danh từ có liên quan đến nhau, trong đó 1 cái bị dùng nhầm đối tượng ví dụ: đáng lẽ là người thì lại dùng vật …

- Thường có like (giống) , unlike (không giống) ở đầu câu

ví dụ: - Unlike many writings of her time, she was not preoccupied with morality

=> writings = những tác phẩm văn học, sách => sai tương quan với she

=> sửa writings => writers (nhà văn)

Hiện nay có 1 xu hướng ra đề lỗi sai mới là cho sai các câu liên quan đến từ vựng - có chung gốc nhưng nghĩa và cách dùng khác nhau

ví dụ: Though formally close friends, they have now been estranged from each other due to

Trong câu trên người ta phân biệt giữa formally (1 cách trang trọng) vs formerly (trước đây)

- có chung gốc là từ form
