LESSON PLAN Unit 17: WHAT TOYS DO YOU LIKE?

Lesson 2- Parts: 1,2,3

Grade : 3 Number of pupils: 32

A Objectives: By the end of the lesson, students will be able to :

- Use the words and phrases related to the topic “pets”

- Ask and answer questions about the number of Pets, using the new pattern How many rabbits do you have?

=> I have two (rabbits)

B Language focus:

-Vocabulary: dogs, cats, parrots, rabbits, goldfish (review)

-Pattern:

C Methods: PPP

D Skills: Speaking, Listening, Reading

E Teaching aids: Textbooks, cassette, word cards, pictures

III Procedure

Teacher’s activities / Time Student’s activities / Lesson I/ WARM UP : “Memory game” (5’)

-guide the game for students

-divide the whole class in to 2 groups (A&B)

-call 3 students in each group to take part in the game

and ask them to stand in line

Rules:

+The first students in each group remember the pets and

their numbers when the teacher shows in turn the

pictures, then they whisper the second student until the

end of their line The last students will run to the board

and write the answer quickly The group which is faster

and has more the right answers will be the winner

Group A Group B

6 parrots 6 parrots

4 cats 2 rabbits

2 rabbits 4 cats

4 goldfish

-observe, check all vocabularies and give stickers for the

winner

-raise their hands

-listen to the teacher and play the game

-receive stickers

II/ PRESENTATION (8’)

a.Pre-teach vocabularies

-show in turn the pictures on the board and ask students

to guess the meaning English

a dog dogs

a cat cats

a parrot parrots

a goldfish goldfish

-look at the picture

-look at the word cards
