1, Connect Tape library via iSCSI After connected we will install driver for Tape library
Open Run knock iSCSI Initiator – Enter – Yes – Show one menu iSCSI select tab Discovery choose Discover Portal – Still in IP address or DNS name (eg:
192.168.1.160 ) and Port (Default is 3260) – OK – Select tab Targets choose 2 Options 1,2 and Connect – Show popup choose OK – Open run knock devmgmt.msc check Tape drives and Medium Changer devices after use browse and search driver
2, Install Veritas Backup EXEC Software and configure working with tape library Open CD disk have software choose Browser and start install
OK – Select tab Installation after select Backup Exec waiting and choose I accept the tems of the license agreement – Next – Next – waiting and Next – This is software have license when we buy license
Continue OK and still information (User, Password, Domain) – next OK – Next – Install – waiting for completed - Finish
After finish install we working with Vitual Tape library
And when finish we need running Inventory to Update all vCartridge (tape) in Tape library
Continue we select “ Skip the survey and finish the installation ” – Finish – Closed Install
3, Double tap left mouse app “ Backup Exec ”
Select Configure Storage – Tape storage – Next – Run the Hot-swappale Device
Wizard – Next – Next – waiting install and “ Next ” for continue – Select “ Robotic library 0001 – Robotic library ” – Next – Finish
Select tab Storage – select Compact – choose Robotic library and Tape drive 0001 (no media) It’s will show menu if we want change information and press Apply
Back press right mouse “Robotic library” select “Inventory – Inventory now”
Switch tab “Job Monitor” to check and switch tab “Storage” select Slots after wait load infor slot and completed
