Let’s learn a little about STRONG ADJECTIVES

Some adjectives are normal (or base) adjectives.

good, bad, dirty, pretty, cold, hot etc

NORMAL ADJECTIVES

• Other adjectives are strong (or extreme)

adjectives

fantastic, awful, filthy, gorgeous etc

STRONG ADJECTIVES

very – really – absolutely + adjective

We can only use "absolutely" with a strong adjective e.g

"absolutely fantastic."

 We can only use "very" with a base adjective

e.g "very good."

"Very fantastic" or "absolutely good" are wrong

However we can use "really" with both base or strong adjectives.
