I DESIGNED THIS CHARTS CONTAINING A STREET MAP, STREET SIGNS AND

PUBLIC PLACES IN ORDER TO TEACH AND PRACTISE ASKING FOR/GIVING

DIRECTIONS, GIVING INSTRUCTIONS (GO STRAIGHT, STOP, TURN LEFT, ETC) AND RELATED VOCABULARY

THE IDEA IS THAT YOU PRINT IT OUT AND FIX THE STREET CHART TO A SOLID

SURFACE (WOOD OR BOARD), CUT OUT AND FIX THE SIGNS AND PLACES TO

SOME SOLID MATERIAL AND PUT THEM ON A BASE IN ORDER TO PLACE THEM

ON THE STREET CHART

1) Get the students in small groups (no more than four) and give each group

the street charts, a set of street signs and a set of public places

2) They place the signs and places on the charts

3) Using the CARS (or buttons, whatever you want)They take turns asking and giving specific directions in order to get to specific places

Example:

Student 1: Where is the church?

Student 2: The church is on Filadelfia Avenue Go down this street

Turn left/right at the traffic lights, ETC
