This board game can be used in a variety of ways Here are some:
• Practise Present Simple with frequency adverbs or similar expressions
o I often play football
o I go swimming once a week.
• Practise Past Simple (if you want, you can have students add a time marker)
o I played football yesterday.
o I brought a present
• Practise Present Perfect (you could ask students to add an adverb where appropriate)
o I’ve never seen a ghost.
o I’ve twisted my ankle
• Practise Future with Going to or Present Continuous
o I’m going to pay my bills this afternoon
o I’m going swimming tomorrow
• Practise sentence building – speaking or writing Students make
a correct sentence using the words given (any verb tense allowed)
o I had lunch with friends yesterday
o I broke my leg when playing football
o I hardly ever drink tea because I prefer coffee
o I’m sitting in my chair
