Trang 2Parts of the body - Lesson Plan using flash cards or an interactive board.
1 Objective :
At the end of the class (or two classes) students should be able to perform a song that they’ll learn listening and looking at a video snippet, where the characters name the parts
of the body
2 Resources: flash cards or an interactive board and a projector and a worksheet
3 Procedure: The students already know how to name some of the parts of the body They’re going to learn some more before they try to perform the song
Step one: The teacher presents the two charts
Lots of class games can be played (the choice depends on the resources
available and also on the size and age of the group: miming, spelling, hanging
man to help the students memorise the new words
Step two: They play in pairs pointing to the parts of the body and listening to
their classmates
Step three: The students do the worksheet individually and then they can
correct their work by looking at the key (the same flash cards used
to present the vocabulary)
Step four: the students watch the snippet and listen to the song while
they look at the lyrics available on the video
Step five: Teacher changes the parts of the body for the students to perform
in pairs, as in
‘ Hair and ears, knees and toes ’ or
‘ Hands and tummy, knees and toes ’
**Notes To Teachers:
1 See the posters on next pages They’re editable, can be used as flashcards or on an
interactive board and should be useful for the first part of the class and as a key to
the WS
