Prep: Make 2 copies for each pair Cut apart one set (page) of cards for each pair
Instructions:
In pairs/small groups, students decide whether each noun is more commonly used as a countable
or uncountable noun then place it under the correct heading Once students have finished, give them a copy of the answer key to compare their answers with and make corrects Discuss common errors as a class
Expansion:
1 Have student make sentences using the most common errors
2 Have students look through magazines and add to list (by categories – ex sports, food)
3 For higher level students add another heading (Both) for those nouns that can be used as countable and uncountable
