-T introduces new lesson: To understand more clearly

about sea animals and their environment, today we’re

going to study unit 9, period 1: Reading

Before you read (15ms)

Names of ocean

- gives the Vietnamese names of the ocean on the map on

the board

- asks the whole class to match the Vietnamese names and

appropriate English names

Finding the names of sea animals

- Ask Ss to give the Vietnamese names of the animals in

the picture

- Ask Ss to look at crossword and find the English name

of these animals

* Pre-teach Vocabulary:

* Task 1: gap filling

- instructs Ss to read the passage quickly and stop at the

Vietnamese equivalents to the words

- instructs some strategies to do task 1

- asks Ss to work in groups, read in silent, scan for

information and do the task

- Call some Ss to tell their answer and explain
