know it all, I find new ways

with words that are so

en-tertaining I had fun working on the first

issue of YOU Word Search and it was a

thrill to spot a word amid random letters.

We’ve grouped the word searches in a

variety of themes (see right) – from food

to cities to space My favourites are the

movie characters (pages 38-40), local

musicians’ names (page 30) as well as the

palindromes (words spelt the same way

forwards and backwards) on page 21.

And some puzzles are small and some

are large for variety and a more satisfying

mental workout.

The kids’ section is a great way to help

children with vocabulary through fun

themes such as animals and superheroes.

They will love the challenge and can use

the magazine at school too.

The words run forwards, backwards,

vertical, horizontal and diagonal,

how-ever, there are no words spelt backwards

in the kids’ section.

I hope you find these puzzles as

relax-ing and addictive as I have.
