Trang 34 3
Our mom was reading
her new book
Lost in thought,
she forgot to cook
“My brother Dan said,
“I’ll make dinner
“If I don’t,
“we’ll all get thinner
“Let’s cook some spaghetti.”
Trang 4“Then the sauce went in the pan
“I can do this!
“Yes, I can!
“I can make spaghetti.”
First he got
the water hot
and put the noodles
in the pot
Trang 58 7
‘The food was done
‘I chose instead
‘to set the table
‘And Mom still read
‘Cause Daniel made spaghetti
“I thought that I
could help out, too
“But then Dan said,
“I’m almost through.”
Trang 6“You’ve been busy,
I can see
“Have you been cooking this for me?
“Is what I smell spaghetti?”
“Our mom came in
and looked around
“She gasped, “What’s this
that I have found?”
Trang 7“I can’t believe what you have done
“I hope you both have had some fun
“And thanks, I love spaghetti!”
“It smells so good
I cannot wait
to put some dinner
on my plate.”
