The sky was clear Bobcat was skiing down the mountain Then there was a surprising thud!

“Oh, the snow is slipping down the mountain! I must hurry home

to tell my mother,” said Bobcat Off went Bobcat at top speed.

On his way down, Bobcat met Ostrich Ostrich was skiing this way and that.

“There’s no time for that!” called Bobcat “The snow is

slipping down the mountain!

We must hurry home!”

“Oh, dear!” said Ostrich “We should hurry home, but first we must tell Elk.”

Off they went at top speed They met Elk as he was doing a big leap off a snow bank “Look

at me!” Elk yelled.

“There’s no time for that!” called Ostrich “The snow is slipping down the mountain!

We must hurry home!”

Off they went at top speed.

They were near the door of Elk’s house when the Cubs came running.

“The snow isn’t slipping,” the Cubs bragged “It was us!”

A snowball went thud It hit Bobcat.

“You shouldn’t do that!” Bobcat told them with a grin He tossed a snowball back at the Cubs.

Then they all did it Thud, thud!

It was as much fun as skiing!
