At the end of the lesson, students will be able to read the text fluently, practice “going to” future and using adverbs of sequence: first, then, next, after that and finally; write, ask and answer about the vacation

I Warm up( 5’)

*Chatting:

- Sets the scene: In this lesson, we study about

Phuong and Mai are going to visit the five

places this summer vacation

- hangs the picture of five places (Ha Noi, Hue,

Ha Long, Ho Chi Minh and Nha Trang) on the

board

Can you guess where they are going to visit first,

then, next, after that and finally? Please, open

the note book and write the title of the lesson.

Lesson 2: VACATION DESTINATIONS (A4-5P 142 &143)

Presentation :

* Pre – reading: ( 5’)

A4: Listen and read

1 Ordering: Number the place where Phuong

and Mai are going to visit( five places)

- Shows the pictures and asks for students to

guess where places are

-Now, look at the pictures and answer my

question: What is this?

- Yes, so Where is it?

- Good, do you know where it is?

- Very good It’s Hue What about this?

- Right And where is it?

- Yes, It’s Ho Chi Minh city And where is it?

- Well done Now, I have some information Let’s

listen to the text.

* While – reading: ( 7’)

2 Listen to the text ( page 142)

- gives out the text on the board ( using a poster)

- reads the text once time

- explains some adverbs of sequence and phrase

Phuong and Mai are going on vacation this summer

First, they are going to visit Ha Long Bay for two days

They are going to stay with their uncle and aunt

Then they are going to stay in a hotel in Ha Noi for three days They are going to see Ngoc Son temple.

Next, they are going to visit friends in Hue for two days They are going to see the citadel.

After that, they are going to stay at a friend’s house in Nha Trang for three days

Finally, they are going to stay with their grandmother and grandfather in Ho Chi Minh City for a week.
