Today, we are here to provide you with the most useful information on how to create a truly effective presentation that serves our learning process and helps us conquer our dreams
II CONTENT.
1 Concept of presentation.
Presentation is a way of presenting an assertion, viewpoint, development strategy, etc in order to persuade the audience to follow and accept one's perspective and think along with them In most professions and fields, there will be times when you need to present your opinions and viewpoints to a crowd In such situations, presentation skills are crucial in helping you convince those around you The importance of presentation skills Presentation skills are truly important
as they encompass various other skills such as creativity, confidence, time management, and problem–solving Therefore, a good presentation will leave a profound impression on the audience when stepping off the stage and is an essential step on your path to success
Trang 8The presentation plays an important role as follows:
Firstly, it is an effective communication tool that helps convey the speaker's opinions and viewpoints to the audience
Secondly, presentation plays a crucial role in the success of individuals
Thirdly, presentations help us acquire various skills such as communication skills, teamwork skills, problem–solving skills, etc
Lastly, presentations can be a high–income profession
We are here as students who aspire to become effective leaders and successful business professionals, earning high incomes and gaining the respect of others To achieve this, it is essential for you to hone your presentation skills Regardless of who you are or what job you have, no matter how knowledgeable and skilled you may be, if you cannot effectively communicate your ideas to others, success will be difficult to attain
2 The structure of a complete presentation.
When creating presentations, it is particularly important that they are well organized and have a consistent structure
A logical structure helps the audience to follow you and to remember the core information as best as possible It is also important for the presenter, as a good presentation structure helps to keep calm, to stay on the topic and to avoid awkward pauses
The basic structure of a presentation is actually always the same and should consist of:
a) Introduction
b) Main part
c) Conclusion
Trang 92.1 Introduction.
In the introduction you need to explain the subject and purpose of your presentation whilst gaining the audience’s interest and confidence It’s sometimes helpful to think of your introduction as funnel–shaped to help filter down your topic:
1 Introduce yourself and general topic
2 Overview about main points
3 State the issues/challenges in this area you will be exploring
4 State your presentation’s purpose – this is the basis of your presentation so ensure that you provide a statement explaining how the topic will be treated, for example, “I will argue that…” or maybe you will “compare”,
“analyze”, “evaluate”, “describe” etc
5 Provide a statement of what you’re hoping the outcome of the presentation will be, for example, “I’m hoping this will provide you with…”
6 Show a preview of the organization of your presentation
2.2 Main part.
The main part is the most important part of your presentation from a content point of view Here you present your information, argue for your position, try to convince the target audience or bring them to a decision In short, the middle section is the heart of your presentation It should be structured in a logical and
Trang 10comprehensible way and should be consistently oriented towards your presentation objective
The main part should make up about 75% to 80% of the total duration of the presentation We have some tips for the main body:
1 Precise headings
Make sure the main body is clear and logical and use precise headings They will ensure that your audience can follow your arguments Headings that are to the point also help the speaker, for example, when you want to jump back and forth within the presentation
2 Key messages
Present your core messages and arguments in a logical order Make sure to support your arguments with examples and facts to strengthen your position Report from the field to show that you understand the needs of your target audience
3 Visualization
Make sure you make your information easy to grasp quickly Whenever possible, you should make use of visualizations Diagrams, icons, and images are quicker to grasp than columns of scrubs, and you’ll stick in their minds Your audience is more likely to remember a good picture than the text on your slides
2.3 Conclusion.
The closing section is the last part of your presentation and gives you the opportunity to emphasize your message once again It’s not just about leaving a strong impression The conclusion of your presentation determines whether you have achieved your presentation goal
1 Summary
Trang 11Summarize the most important points of your presentation again in a short and concise way This will remind the audience of the key messages and strengthen your overall impression
2 Thank the audience and invite questions
Conclude your talk by thanking the audience for their time and invite them to ask any questions they may have As mentioned earlier, personal circumstances will affect the structure of your presentation
Many presenters prefer to make the Q&A session the key part of their talk and try to speed through the main body of the presentation This is totally fine, but it is still best to focus on delivering some sort of initial presentation to set the tone and topics for discussion in the Q&A
3 The steps to prepare a presentation.
3.1 Define your audience:
Audience: Who are you presenting to? What is their level of knowledge about the topic? What are their interests and needs?
3.2 Choose your topic and content:
Select a topic that aligns with your purpose
Gather information from reliable sources and organize it logically

Use storytelling techniques to engage your audience
3.3 Design effective visuals:

3.4 Practice your delivery:
Rehearse your presentation out loud to refine your timing and delivery
Trang 12 Pay attention to your body language, vocal variety, and eye contact.

Tips:
Be confident and professional: Even if you feel nervous, project confidence through your body language and voice
Be prepared for technical difficulties: Have a backup plan in case of technical issues with your presentation equipment
4 Effective presentation skills.

Practice confidence:
Confidence is also an indispensable factor to help your presentation be successful If you have a confident demeanor and believe in yourself, people will also believe in you At the same time, confidence will also help you handle situations that arise during the presentation smoothly, without letting yourself become flustered in front of the crowd
Presentation in front of a mirror or in front of friends:
Create a safe and comfortable practice environment by doing presentations
in front of a mirror or in front of friends Get honest feedback on both your body language and your content When completed, proceed to correct errors and improve based on the reviews to become more confident and professional
