LESSON PLAN WEEK 2

Teaching date: from September 11th to September 15th , 2023

By the end of the lesson, students will be able to:

- Understand and correctly repeat the sentences in simple communicative contexts inrelation to the topic “My friends” in which ss ask and answer questions about where someone is from;

- Correctly say the words and use Where are you from? –> I’m from ……… to ask

and answer questions about where someone is from;

- Enhance the correct use of Where are you from? –> I’m from ………… to ask and

answer questions about where someone is from in a freer context

1 Knowledge/ Language focus:

- Vocabulary: Britain, Viet Nam, America, Australia

- Sentence patterns: Where are you from? –> I’m from ………

Kindness: help partners to complete learning tasks

Diligence: complete learning tasks

Responsibility: appreciate kindness

4 Competences:

SS can develop some competences:

- Communication and collaboration: work in pairs and groups to complete the

learning tasks

- Self-control & independent learning: perform listening tasks

Sing Hello song and then chatting to link

the new lesson

*Aims: to help ss to happy to learn new

lesson

*Procedure:

- Asks ss to sing the song Hello

- Elicit that there are many countries around

the world

- Ask ss to name as many countries as they

know

-Say “Open your book page 10 and look at

Unit 1, Lesson 1- Activity 1, 2, 3”

Activity 1 - 1 Listen and repeat:10’

*Aims: To understand and correctly repeat

the sentences in two communicative

contexts (pictures) in which ss ask and

answer questions about where someone is

from

*Context:

Minh: Hello I’m Minh I’m from Viet Nam

Where are you from?

Mary: Hello, Minh I’m Mary I’m from

America.

– Context b:

Lucy: Hi I’m Lucy I’m from Britain

-SS sing the song-Ss listen and answer

book and identify the characters in the

pictures:

+ Who is he / she?

- Play the recording again for Ss to listen

and repeat in chorus, sentence by sentence

-Divide the class into two groups to read the
