C O N T R I B U T I O N S O F T H E T H E S I S The thesis title: Study outcomes o f Semi-rigid Ureteroscopy in the treatment o f renal stones.

T h e n e w c o n t r i b u t i o n s o f the thesis a r e as f o l l o w e d :
- The thesis has contributed to domestic research data on the a p p l i c a b i l i t y o f
s e m i - r i g i d endoscope in the treatment o f renal stones The success o f this study
w i l l f u r t h e r c o n f i r m the advantages o f the treatment m e t h o d f o r renal stones
- T h i s is a m i n i m a l l y invasive technique, accessing the stones v i a a natural route, thus avoiding damage to the renal parenchyma and reducing the risk o f bleeding Today, w i t h the significant technological i m p r o v e m e n t i n the design o f
s e m i - r i g i d ureteroscope and the development o f H o l m i u m laser technology and ancillary instruments, retrograde intrarenal surgery w i t h the use o f s e m i - r i g i d ureteroscope is increasingly w i d e l y applied i n the treatment o f k i d n e y stones
- Treating k i d n e y stones w i t h semi-rigid ureteroscopy is a safe and feasible choice w i t h a h i g h stone-free rate (70-95%), shortened operative t i m e , and reduced treatment costs as w e l l as fewer intraoperative and postoperative complications, shorter length o f hospital stay, reduced postoperative pain, q u i c k recovery, no l o n g - t e r m k i d n e y dysfunction and good patient?s satisfaction
- A number o f factors affecting the treatment results i n c l u d i n g technical details, stone position were investigated to improve success and stone-free rates,
as well asreduce the risk o f intraoperative and postoperative complications
