These tests are conducted by the manufacturer during the regular production process to ensure that the devices meet the conditions outlined in the manufacturing specifications Normal production tests are performed on all units produced to verify the operational characteristics of the power supplies.

For quality conformance assessment, the periodic conformance inspection for the power supply devices described in the detail specification includes the tests described in 5.1 and 5.2 below.
Manufacturers conduct normal production tests on all units to ensure that each device meets the specified production standards These tests primarily focus on verifying the functionality of the power supply.
If the tests of the normal production testing are not covered in clause 7, they are to be carried out in addition.
The manufacturer has to keep the records of the test results for 10 years.
The tests identified in clause 8 shall be conducted on the indicated number of specimens, selected from every lot of 2 000 units.
When mass production is minimal and the test cycle is not economically viable, the number of specimens required can be decreased as specified in section 6.2.
If a unit's production is halted for over 18 months, any resumption of manufacturing will require a new type test if there have been fundamental design changes Otherwise, the process will only involve a periodic quality conformance assessment.
If the manufacturer uses other methods than the AQL for batch tests and periodic inspection, they must be clearly documented and the limits stated.
For testing electrical characteristics, it is essential to maintain a consistent test setup configuration for both periodic and initial product tests.
A description of the test set-up shall be included in the test reports.

Batch tests
Manufacturers conduct normal production tests to ensure that each device meets the specified production standards These tests are performed on all units to verify the functionality of the power supply.
If the tests of the normal production testing are not covered in clause 7, they are to be carried out in addition.
The manufacturer has to keep the records of the test results for 10 years.
Periodic tests
The tests identified in clause 8 shall be conducted on the indicated number of specimens, selected from every lot of 2 000 units.
When mass production is minimal and the test cycle is not economically viable, the number of specimens required can be decreased to the quantities specified in section 6.2.
If production of a unit is halted for over 18 months, any resumption of manufacturing will require a new type test if there have been fundamental design changes If no such changes have occurred, only a periodic quality conformance assessment will be necessary.
If the manufacturer uses other methods than the AQL for batch tests and periodic inspection, they must be clearly documented and the limits stated.
When testing electrical characteristics, it is essential to maintain a consistent test setup configuration for both periodic and initial product tests.
A description of the test set-up shall be included in the test reports.
