1 Scope

This standard specifies the characteristics of bearings, spherical plain in corrosion resisting steel with self-lubricating liner, elevated load under low oscillations, with low friction coefficient, narrow series, inch series They shall be used in the temperature range – 54 °C to 120 °C

Inner ring: steel EN 2030, hardness 55 HRC to 62 HRC

Outer ring: steel EN 3161, hardness 28 HRC to 37 HRC before swaging

Liner: self-lubricating low friction, wear resistant material consistent with the requirements of EN 4540

4.5 Surface treatment

Without code: ball (inner ring) chrome plated on spherical diameter per AMS-QQ-C-320 class 2

Code Z: cadmium plating on outer race per EN 2133

Without swaging groove

Code S: ball (inner ring) chrome plated on spherical diameter per AMS-QQ-C-320 class 2, min 8 µm

to 13 µm thick Cadmium plating of outer ring: 5 µm to 8 µm (0,2 µin to 0,3 µin) according to

EN 2133 Cylindrical surface area and chamfers and both end surfaces at manufacturer’s option, followed by chromating
