4.1 Cat le hides

Befor being clas ified b weight, for shanks should be k e -trimmed, hin shan s trimmed sq ar at

meat r mo ed Heads should be trimmed b r mo ing the mask (p t es), ears an lps, lea ing only the

che ks Tais should be trimmed t o not mor than 3 0mm

If the che k of a hide bearsa cut of mor than 8 mm in length, the p rtion of the che k bey n the cut

should be r mo ed b contin ing the cut in b th dir ctions

4.2 Calf skins

Befor being clas ified b weight, shanks should be trimmed short, taib nes should be r mo ed an

the skin should be without head, i.e cut of behin the ears an without che ks

5.1 Raw hides and skins

Weigh raw cat le hides t o the near s 0,5 kg an raw calf skins t o the near s 0,1 kg Alowanc s should

5.2 Wet salted hides and skins

NOTE An mechanical methods of desalting can b utilized for the p rpose
