I like travelling and I have had many interesting holidays In the summer, I usually go

on vacation with my family We have visited many famous places such as: Hanoi, Danang, Nhatrang… but we like the vacation to Dalat best because it was very wonderful

At 10 o’clock my family arrived in Dalat My father had booked a big room before, so

we went to check in and rested After resting for a while, we went to “Thung lung tinh yeu” “Thung lung tinh yeu” has many beautiful flowers: tulips, roses, violets… As you may know, many people have considered Dalat a wonderful, romantic and attractive city After that we went back to our hotel My family had dinner together in our hotel at 7.30 My mother liked the foods because they were delicious

That vacation was too short but we felt it wonderful It is my greatest time in life

TOPIC 2:

In my family, I love and respect everybody but I admire my mother most My mother

is 42 years old now She is thin with long black hair that is my sister’s dream, she is about average height My characteristics is not the same with my mother but my sister’s are very similar to her

My mother is the woman of family, she is always busy with the family cooking and taking care of my family especially the children

Everyday, my mother usually cooks meals for the whole family, which my mother always says that’s the happiest thing of hers

My dad is very proud to have a wife like my mother Thanks for my mother caring that

So my mother has always been my role model to follow and learn

TOPIC 3:

TRAFFIC JAM

Traffic jam is the problem that people from many countries in the world are facing in

my country today, and Vietnam is not an exception Everyday, all over the country, there are a lot of traffic accidents, because in our country there are millions of motorbikes, bicycles, cars and the roading system isn’t good enough

Everybody wants to get to where they want in the shortest time, but the traffic is too crowded, that’s the traffic reason causing traffic accidents or traffic jams

The traffics jams make people who have to wait for a long time tired and sometimes stressful It is not good for our health Besides, while people are being stuck in traffic jam, the smokes of the vehicles can cause many lung diseases as well as cause the air pollution that is the world-wide problem

Personally I think it is very important that the government should give more information to help improve the citizen’s awareness when they are in traffic It can help

to reduce traffic jam in our country

TOPIC 4:

MY FAVOURITE SPORT

There are many kinds of sports but I like football most Everyday, at 4.30 pm, I usually ride to Tuyen Son sport town to play football with my friends Normally one team pre-deposits And then we have a match in which each team tries very hard to win because the losing team has to pay 200.000 vnd for rental fee, everybody doesn’t want to loose the money It is very fun to play with a simple purpose like that If we play in the day time, the fee will be cheaper

After each game, we both teams will go to the café together to stretch and discuss the match

Playing football helps me to improve my health and let out the stress after a day-long hard working and studying

TOPIC 5:

TOURIST

Danang is a beautiful city with many tourist attractions such as Ba Na Hills, Thuan Phuoc bridge and the beautiful long beach but I like Bana Hills most because it has the highest cable system in south east Asia and it has many beautiful scenes that attract many tourists every year Also Bana Hills scenes are peaceful and poetry

Besides, I also like Thuan Phuoc bridge, Danang city is famous for its bridges, but maybe Thuan Phuoc is the most creative and poetry bridge I usually ride my motorbike across it because I want to see all the city view from this bridge It is fascinating

Danang also had a beautiful long beach which is one of five most beautiful beach in the world Every afternoon, there are thousands of Danang citizens go to the beach for many activities such as swimming, flying the kites or just jogging I myself like to swim because I feel it very healthy for life

TOPIC 6:

MY DAILY ACTIVITIVES

In the morning I usually get up at 6 am Then I do my personal hygiene, after that I often do exercise and have breakfast at 7am I go to the construction place where I am doing my apprentice time from 8am to 11am After that, I go home, then I go to the market to buy something for lunch with my roommates I like cooking because I can cook well After having the delicious lunch meals, we take a short nap and then, at around 2pm, I go to the construction place again and continue my morning job, I finish my work

at 5pm

In the evening I often watch TV, play games on the internet, go to the café with my friends or just listen to some pop music I enjoy this time of the day very much because I can relax after a hard-working day I go to bed at 11pm

WHAT KIND OF PROGRAMS DO YOU

LIKE TO WATCH ON TV- WHY

We like the TV show “Who will be the Millionaire” It is usually available every Tuesday night It is very interesting

The game is a competition in which at first 10 people have to answer a question with the fastest time to become the chief player

After that the chief player has to answer 15 questions each by each correctly to win the money after each question If they don’t know the answer, they have 4 chances to pass: call for help of the friend, ask for help of audiences, 50-50 and change the question If they still can’t find the answer, they can choose to stop their competition at any time

If the player fails to answer, he or she will be out And the competition repeats from the beginning

We like this program because it is exciting and especially the prize of the game, the winner answers 15 questions correctly will receive the big amount of money of 12.000.000 VND It is wonderful

TOPIC: 8

MY FUTURE

Now I am a student of Danang University of Architecture and that’s why in the future,

I would like to become an architect My main job is to design constructions such as public constructions, apartment buildings and houses

In my work, we have to be creative and discipline We can work in supervising and consulting to build architectural constructions We can work individually or team-work

It also requires skills of an architecture and an engineer

I like this job because I can design constructions that can bring many conveniences for society in general and every family in particular So now I’m trying to study as hard as I can to get the necessary knowledge that is very helpful for my future job I’m looking forward to graduating and working as soon as possible

LIFE IN CITY

I have been a student of Danang university of Architecture since 2008 so I have lived I Danang city for 4 years now Truthfully, wherever I have lived I have had many advantages and disadvantages

The advantages that I have had when I live in Danang city is to live in the dynamic and bustling environment It is very suitable to a young person like me In Danang city, there are many public vehicles that meet the demands of Danang citizens The entertainment services and travel services are also better

However there are many disadvantages such as: I always feel dangerous when crossing the streets because the streets are crowded The price of everything here is also higher than my hometown I find it hard to buy things with my little money There are many more difficulties but I can’t list all here

Although there are many disadvantages, I still like to live in Danang city

LIFE IN COUNTRY

Although I am living in a big city now, I like the life in the country very much In the countryside, I feel very relax and comfortable, the air is fresh and pure and especially the people there, everybody is very friendly and kind

I like to walk on the long village roads in the morning It is very peaceful and the sound of the new day is so interesting The price there is also very cheap I can buy many

things such as foods or clothes with unbelievable prices that much lower than those in the city

I think living in the country will help us to have good health because of the fresh air with little pollution

TOPIC 11: YOUR FAVOURITE TEACHER

My favourite teacher was my English teacher in the university I first met her when I was the first year student in the university She had taught me for 3 years and after that she quit the university She is the teacher that I love most Her name’s Oanh She is about

25 years old, she come from Hanoi She is rather tall for a lady She has light brown curly hair and always wears thick glasses She is rather strict However, she actually very approachable and always concerned about her students

Her teaching methods are usually effective She corrects the mistakes of pronunciation, grammar and English structures carefully She made the students practice a lot of with short sentences intonation to help them improve their pronunciation At the end of each lesson, she gives us the exercises and clearly explains them to correct the mistakes if there was any

Her method is very good, we can feel our progress lesson by lesson I respect and love her so much She is really my favorite teacher

WHY DO YOU STUDY ENGLISH?

Nowadays, it is undeniable that English is an international language It has been used

in all fields of education, communication, transportation and public activities English has been spoken everywhere, and it is the language of many books in various fields such as: science, technology, geography, travelling, etc

Many students are coming to the foreign language centers to study English with the hope of being capable of using it for different purposes

It is so important that English should become a compulsory subject for all students at universities in many countries If you can use English very well, you will have good chances to have good jobs in the future So we should learn English as soon as possible English is one of the best ways for us to have a good life in the future

TOPIC 13

English is the most popular language in the world In my studying, I find that leaning English is very important But personally, when I study it, I find it difficult to study listening, speaking and writing

I can hear the English sounds but I don’t understand what people are talking about Why? Because I just have little English vocabularies Besides, I don’t use my vocabularies very often and they are faded through time With me, to deal with the difficulties in learning E I think I should study many more vocabularies In speaking E, I must I practice listening through songs, news, films, or even games

There are many foreigners in Danang, so why don’t you meet them and talk with them

to improve your speaking, listening and writing, I should learn more about grammars and structure to improve it I wish I would be better in E in the near future

The movie star who I like best is Tang Thanh Ha because she is very beautiful and talent According to some newspaper, her childhood is very bad She was born in poor family but her mother tries to give her opportunities to study in acting classes She was lucky when director close her to star in a film “Doc tinh” and then she has become famous She

is a perfect model of modern woman for many girls to follow It is her that help me to have better life and hope in the future to continue to try in my life to have a better future

TOPIC 16

In many types of vehicles, I like bicycle most because I think it is a convenient and simple vehicles

Firstly, it doesn’t use fuel, so I don’t have to spend any money on gasoline, besides, it does not emit any so it hardly pollutes the environment

Secondly, when you want to go somewhere you can ride a bike It helps to improve your health But since it goes slowly, you can only use it in a short distance or go for a picnic or so on

Today, gasoline price is so high So it is expensive to use motorbikes, cars to go somewhere, so it is best to use bicycle

Sports

In Vietnam, most people like sports If you wake up in the early morning, you can see many people, the young or the old both go out to do exercises People do many kind of sports such as football, basketball, tennis, badminton, etc

People do exercises because these kinds of activities help them to improve their health,

to keep in shape and especially doing exercises helps us to decrease stress after working hours

Personally, I think the most popular sport in Vietnam is football Therefore there are many football grounds, satisfying the requirements of everybody If you have a chance to

go out in the afternoon, you will see many people in the football costumes to go to mini stadium to have a football match with their friends It is very interesting to watch a game like that

Exercises

There are many people who believe that doing exercises always makes them feel uncomfortable because they have to do it whether they like to do or not

Normally, we only do exercises when we want to lost weight So it often makes you feel stressful if you have to wake up early or get sweater when doing exercises

But I think doing exercises will bring you many benefits, such as: doing exercises regularly is very good for your heart, it will help you to have a fitter body, it also prevents diseases, reduces stress, increase cold tolerance ability, bring comfort to people with asthma and it also prevent cancer

There are some sports that I think they are very good for you For example: Swimming, it is a sport that is suitable for all ages to improve health, swimming activities help the body quickly burned energy, the basic elements can help you control your weight Or cycling, it will help to reduce 90% migraine, best for people who are stopping stacking, lose weight and besides it will help to prevent environmental pollution

TOPIC 19:

Learning E is very helpful for everyone Indeed, if you understand English well

you can work with your computer effectively and easily, because most computers use English language You can also read more information on the Internet

If you want to travel around the world you should know a little English because it helps you to communicate with people in many places

With good E, you can easily find a good job because nowadays, many companies are expanding to abroad, so it is necessary for employees to know English to communicate with their partners

I like E phonetics and vocabularies because one word can have many different meanings I find it very important to know English

Nowadays, all over the world, many countries use English as their first language, and also many use as a second or foreign language

I study English by watching movies with English subtitles, listening to English songs, doing English grammar exercises or chatting with foreigners in English It’s so interesting to communicate with other people in English

TOPIC 20:

After school, I like to go the park This place help me to clear my tiredness and

my stress There are trees, flowers and glasses like in a paradise The park I am used to going to is 29-3 park, it is near the center of Danang city

The park is where we usually go to for a walk In the morning, many people from very young to old age go there to do exercises such as jogging, weights lifting, football or badminton Everybody goes there for the fresh air there The fresh air help us to feel comfortable and relax

In the middle in the park, there is a lake, we often go there for fishing or swimming The park has lot of big trees and flowers and it is place many people to come

to organize events and activities

There is also a zoo in the 29-3 park, in the afternoon, many parents with their children go there to watch the birds, the tigers, the monkeys and many kinds of animals there Sometimes, some people bring food to feed the animals It is very interesting when seeing the monkeys are fed by people They are so naughty that make the children excited

TOPIC 21:

MY FUTURE PLANS

Anyone of us has future plans in our life, and me too I’m a small person but I think my future plans isn’t so small as me

I’m the last year student of Danang Architecture University right now After graduation, I hope to find a good job with a good salary in the environment that I could use my abilities is suitable with my major and abilities Furthermore, I also want to work

in a foreign company I think it’s a good environment to develop my working skills such

as professional working conditions, speaking English as well as communicative skills and the method of working is very professional I also want to earn much money from my work in the future, so I will work hard to get my expected salary

I love my parents, so I want to give them some money or other things to help them have a better life in future years when I they get older

Besides, I also want to travel to many places, other countries in the world, to know new cultures there, especially to eat much good and strange food

In the future, when I have enough experience, I’d like to build my own company

or run a fashion shop to sell clothes which will be designed by myself Fashion is my biggest passion And I will employ many people, give them work in order to contribute to the development of my country, even though a little

My favourite kind of sport is badminton This is a popular sport in the world Whether you play professionally or play just play for fun with friends, badminton requires good vision and quick response

Scientists have proven that playing this sport brings many benefits to your health and help you to live longer This can be achieved if you play badminton at least 30 minutes a day

The main benefits of badminton are to reduce bad cholesterol and increase good cholesterol Also, playing badminton will improve your body, reduce you heart rate down and reduce blood pressure Both of these effects are beneficial for those who are stressful

And like other sports, badminton requires a lot of calories that help them tom avoid being converted into fat

Finally, badminton helps you feel healthy, energetic and young It helps reduce stress and increases confidence for myself

What company do you want to fill out after graduation?

After graduation, I want to work in a bank because my major is financial banking

I want to work in a foreign bank company because there is an active and creative environment I will have many opportunities to promote (thúc đẩy) and improve my English skills and especially there will be high salary that satisfies (đáp ứng) my expectation

The bank which I want to work in is Vietcombank I like this bank because I use

to do my apprentice (người học việc) period there All staffs are very friendly, helpful and full of experiences

There are many difficulty one person meet in his or her life But I myself met my most difficultly in my life when I was away from home to go to Danang city to study for the first time

It was the time I first had to study in university I had to live independently, I had

to do everything completely by myself: go to the market, cook meals, wash my clothes or take care of myself when being ill They were such things that I had never done before

New life in a new big city was very strange to me I felt very homesick because I didn’t know to plan my independent life

After a few months, my life was much better because I got used to living independently Furthermore, shared my room with my friend, so it was easier for both of

us to take care of each other I have called my family regularly, it helps me reduce my homesickness I’ve learned to live independently

I feel better now and I am used to living independently

Everybody wants to have lots of money If I have a lot of money, it is will be wonderful because I will use the money to fulfill my dreams

Firstly, I will buy luxury items such as: laptop, car, smart phone, etc Besides, I will buy the big land to build hotel, motel or just invest into land property

TOPIC 26:

In comparison with travelling by an airplane, travelling by train is much cheaper, significantly roomier and more comfortable

But like any other vehicles, I think that going by train has both advantages and disadvantages:

There are some advantages:

It is usually quicker than travelling by road because there are no road works, traffic jams, breakdowns or accidents It is comparatively good for safety reason Passengers can do other things while they are travelling on the train which they are not allowed to do on an airplane such as talking on the phone, using laptop The train is relatively cheap if you book the ticket in advanced, and you can see many lovely sceneries outside the train windows sometime

But there are some disadvantages:

Sometimes people are talking very loudly on the train and it will make you fell uncomfortable There is also a limited space inside the carriage of the train that makes people hard to move Also, if there is an ill person with a bad cough or cold you are going

to breathe in their germs and you might also get ill

TOPIC 27:

There are many vehicles for you to travel, but there is nothing can compare with air plane because the speed of this type of vehicle is very fast You don’t have to spend as such time as those when you travel by train or by, or by a watering vehicle; and airplane services are also better

The feelings when you sit in an air plane when it is taking off is indescribably enjoyable When you sit in an air plane, looking out the sky, it looks like the world is coved by the clouds It is so wonderful

If it is sunny, there will be an imposing scenery, a glorious paradise, the shapes of the cloud are interesting, which are good for your imagination

On the plane, you will be provided with snacks and drinks that are not available in other vehicles

Besides the advantages, there are also disadvantages when you travel by plane such as the ticket fee is more expensive, you are not allowed to bring instrument containing chemicals, liquids to avoid firing When the plane takes off and the lands, it will make you feel uncomfortable because of the change in atmospheric pressure If there

TOPIC 28: What I hate most in my life.

Dirtiness, mess things, shrimp sauce, raining a lots, stay in an inn, mice, cockroaches are what I hate most in life I am a quite technical and perfectionist person Furthermore, I am a girl, so what hate most is dirtiness and mess things

What do you think about raining too much? To me, I don’t like rain much Because now I have to stay in an inn So every time it rains, it takes long time for my clothes to be dried In the room the felling of the moist cannot escape to outside because there is much water vapor in the air is annoying

And stay in an inn is also what I hate Because on the first and last day of the month, I have to pay the room, electricity, water fee And I have to spend a number of other expenses such as foods, fuels by myself In addition to these, the noise of the surrounding room is also annoying

Another thing that I hate comes from the mice and cockroaches They are my traditional enemies They are things that always destroy furniture and make me feel uncomfortable

TOPIC 29:

I was born in a small village far away from city My village is surrounded by paddy- fields in the river

In my village, there are many footpaths and lots of trees There are also many large rice fields on which many farmers do the farming work from the early morning till late in the afternoon To me, these things are familiar and peaceful

I like to walk along the footpaths and listen to the sound of wind blows through the bamboos It is very poetry Whenever I feel stressful or just want to take a nap, I go to the bamboos near my houses I take a short nap After that, I feel very energetic and my stress seems to be blown away

On traditional holidays and Tet holiday, there are many activities such as festivals, traditional games which are really fun and exciting Everybody in my village gathers together to talk to each other about their new things in their houses, or just tell what they are worrying about to ask for advices
